Versailles Garden Temple

Anne grew more intrigued by her words he was not very king like when she met him just a normal man traveling through europe. Oh I was not so shy around him I can assure you that. He looked like a greek god long black wavy hair I didn't love him but he brought a lot of adventure to my life and I would like that Anne back I think you would enjoy far much better than how I am now. What was her mistress was like then Anne was eager to know but did not like to pry.

Anne took out a ring from her pocket and dropped it on the table.

This came between us it may look simple and nothing grand but let me show you something. Anne opened up the ring to show her mistress.

Inside is a love poem he wrote for me and had it stored in this ring if you squint your eyes you can see parts of it clearly. When he left without a word for days I tried to remeber because I was so afraid to forget what his silhouette looked like I sketched it over and over again I became an unknown person I would climb up to the cliffs and wail with the sea hoping he would hear me. Even though it had caused her great pain in her life Anne didn't even cry about it anymore. Our days together were consumed of, well I never really knew what he did in the day but he did try to blend in with the village and I used to run into his arms at the end of every day he had great big arms wrapped around my tiny waist. Anne did a light laugh trying to make it a bit cheerier.

Anne shrugged twirling the ring around her finger she was just clinging to a memory. He left me in the middle of the night their was no note I never called him by his first name he told me that his initals were R.M I had my own special name for him. This was two years ago that he left me I.. I. Anne rested her eyes in her hands she was in a turmoil. Could you post my ring to the King he might know who made it if I wrote him he would ignore it.

Anne tilted her head to the side slightly why would the French King want to know about my ring then it clicked. Oh I meant the King of Germany I feel that we are at a lose end. Anne thought that even though it sounded more than a mere dream this was all just going nowhere at all she simply shrugged placing the ring back on a piece of thread and keeping it closer her heart. Thank you for taking the time to listern to me even if he was a commoner I would still think of him and wonder how life is treating him. Anne never cried but she sought comfort from her mistress and rested her head amongst her shoulder. No matter who he was he would of made an effort to contact me.

Anne closed her eyes feeling her hair being smoothed out made her think more clearly she was glad that she had told her mistress what had been troubling her for so long. I hope that you shall come with me you are now part of my adventure I sometimes play over in my head what I will say if I ever got to see him again.

I arrive at the garden to read a book that was given to me by mother for my arrival at court. The fall breeze blows gently through my hair as I start to read.

She strolled through the garden, her thoughts very far away, and encountered a young woman.

"I pray I'm not disturbing you, but I do believe I have read that same book," she commented.

I hear a voice as I look up. The voice belonged to a sophisticated looking woman. "Not at all." I smile as I make room for her to sit beside me"Please, have a sit. What are your thoughts about the book?"

She smiled and seated herself on the bench.

"Growing up I was not allowed to read for pleasure, so I would read a chapter each night after I was put to bed. I always loved this book; it was my escape, and I've always treasured it."

"Your mother only wanted to read books that are worthy of education and God's word I presume?" I put a mark in the book and close it as I direct my attention to her "My mother told me that her mother was strict about what she read. My grandmother and her trusted servant would look through the whole bookcase for books that were unworthy or not proper for a lady."

She nodded, recognizing her mother in the young lady's description.

"My mother was raised in a convent and provided the same education for me and my sister. Indeed, such an innocent tale as the one printed upon these pages should not be condemned. I read it to my own daughter when she was younger."

She laughed a little.

"Forgive my rudeness. I'm Genevieve Guyot."

"Juliette DuPont. Ladies often forget to introduce themselves." I smile back at her "You have done the proper thing to teach your daughter." My mother mostly taught me what a young lady needed to learn "Is she your only child or do you have more?"

Gen, as always, loved to talk about her family.

"I have a daughter and two sons. They all have a passion for the written word, and of all of them I am proud. What is your own family like?"

"My family can be greedy when it comes to great opportunities." If any my sisters were to become the King's whore, my mother would never speak to them but, father would do what it takes to keep his daughters in a King's favor "but, they are very loving towards each other."

"Perhaps your family simply wants to see you reach your best potential," Genevieve offered.

"You could be right but, I don't think God himself would want the daughters of mankind to use their bodies when they're truly not in love." I frown upon the women who don't act like proper ladies "I hope you don't mind me asking this but, do you have any expectations for your children?"

"I expect them to live up to their potential," she answered simply.

"I would never try to put my daughter in the king's bed if that's what you mean. I don't intend for her to gain her fortune that way."

"And have you thought of arranging a marriage for your son? The thought of Papa's plans for me popped in my head "Some mothers these days are already planning for their child's future."
