Sybille had competition when it came to the king. But at least she didn't have to force him into bed like some. Richard said I had his heart but their is another here at court who shall not persist in leaving him alone. Oh Inge it is all a big mess and I just want to help him.

Inge frowned

"Are you talking about the new lady..the one with dark skin? Oh but I don't think she could interfere with your special friendship with the King. You said by yourself that she is not a rival.."

She took a deep breath adding a worried expression at her words

"Rather, I'm very worried about Lady Aurora, Sybille. She fainted in the garden. And she mumbled that someone poisoned her. Luckily, Ambassador Mendoza and I helped her and I gave her an antidote. She didn't say who the poisoner is. But I think she was talking about Jane Renner.."

Sybille shrugged biting her nails as she thought long about Richard. She was only brought out of her thoughts when Inge had mentioned a poisoning. Oh my that is terrible Inge. Do you think that she really was.

"That's what she said before fainting. I trust my antidote could work, because I have already used it at my village. But if she is right..this means that there is a poisoner in the Palace, Sybille. All of us could be in danger.."

She replied, thinking at Aurora's pale face and her weak voice

Sybille gently rubbed Inge arm softly. You are a star Inge. You always help out others I think that it is about time you start putting yourself first. Sybille wanted Inge to do what made her happy. And when Inge spoke of her old village and the medicine she practised her face lit up. I do not think that we are at a risk. Perhaps you can find out what it was that made Aurora faint.

Inge laughed. But at the same time she blushed shooking her head

"Oh no..I'm not a star, Sybille. I just did what I could to help her. The antidote I gave her is very powerful. So I'm sure she will be alright soon. But..I have to find out what made her faint yet..yes. So we could feel finally safe at Palace. And who knows? I could even become a nurse, one day.."

She giggled

How will you find out what caused it Inge? Sybille winced knowing it would probably involve a knife of some sort. Yet she was fascinated with what Inge knew about herbs. I think you would be great and I will even look after Leo for you if you want. Sybille would never stop Inge from following her dream.

"Oh I think I'll find out studying the symptoms with a book that my mother gave me..and by the comparson with other herbs. If one day I'll become a nurse, you will be my special patient, Sybille.."

She joked, grateful for her support

Sybille laughed along with Inge. Yes of course! In all seriousness is this what you really want as I am in support of it. You'll always be my lady in waiting Inge and no one can replace you ever. If your inner nurse is calling I say follow it and see where it takes you.

At the moment I can't stand being in Bavaria. Richard is acting strangely towards me wanting to know this and that. I mean the sheer audacity of him. Do I question him about his love life and whom he chooses to bed no. Sybille grew even more irritated by as they spoke pulling clumps of grass out.

"Oh but maybe his interest in you is growing, Sybille. I think it's good that he cares about your life. This means that you're not a common mistress for him.."

She answered, wondering if her relationship with sir Daniel would go so far too

Sybille looked about she was not use to such things with the king. Hmm. Perhaps but I still find it different. Their is not much to tell him about my life only that I'm still trying to figure it out myself. I don't have a passion like you do, I'm very passionate about our friendship.

Sybille embraced her friend, getting up and smoothing down her dress hoping it wasn't top damp. Now how would you like to make a dress with me.

"A dress? Oh..it would be funny. Is there some special occasion? I know all your dresses and they're all beautiful. Do you need a new one?"

She asked, wondering what was Sybille planning this time

Sybille smiled not wanting to hold back any details but for now to keep things a secret. To dance for someone was a very intimate and personal thing to do. It was something that came from the heart precious and dear. Yes I shall need a new dress. It should be made of fresh white cotton, not silk. With a slight bodice to hold up my non exsiting breasts and the bottom should be trimmed of intricate lace from France.

"Oh..it looks you have to attend to a very special event, Sybille. But yes..I know a good seamstress and she will make the dress you need quickly. But she will need your measures. And..honestly, your breasts are perfect and you can wear every kind of dress.."

Inge smiled again, noticed that Sybille was very excited about this

"Something for the King? You should tell me, then. I promise I shall keep the secret. You know you can trust me.."

She sighed weakly as her friend mentioned her suitor

"Sir Daniel is a true gentleman, Sybille. He treats me with kindness and respect. But he also added...that maybe there could be something more between us in the future. I like him very much, and I would love to know him better.."

Sybille smiled with happiness hearing about what Daniel said to Inge. It made Sybille feel more at ease knowing that Inge was still loved by men. I think you should make it work with him.... of course it takes two people but... I am so happy for you darling. Sybille was still trying to keep it a secret but Inge always had a way with her. I am going to perform a ballet for him... Richard is going to bring a dance teacher in just so I can dance for him.

Inge opened her mouth by surprise and giggled

"A dance teacher? Really? Oh Sybille..this is so exciting. Of course I'll help you. You will be fantastinc, I'm sure of it.."

She said, but after a second of silence she sighed

"At least the King hides nothing from you, Sybille. While sir Daniel..he is very mysterious. Especially about his daughter. I think..he has a family secret.."

Inge, it is dangerous to reveal a man's secrets. That is what my mother told me anyway. Maybe in time he will open up to you. Although Sybille wanted eagerly to know herself what this so called secret was. She also knew it was wrong to gossip about a man related to the king.

"Yes..that's what I hope. I like him very much, Sybille. And I'm sure that he feels the same for me. But..how can we build a relationship if we don't trust each other? But after all I understand him. He is very protective towards his daughter, exactly like I am towards Leo.."

She said adding a smile at her last words

For a moment Sybille had to think about what to say. She took her hand and smiled sincerely. Let's talk about this at the Christmas party Inge. Shall I meet you their. A nice goblet of wine would help Sybille out.
