Summer time delight.

I looked at Nuriye as she spoke of being sent away and quickly glanced towards my Uncle hoping that he had not heard her, I had witnessed his temper and did not wish to see more of it

No I was not but I have spent time separated from my Family I gave her a thin smile and find life here sometimes overbearing but we have to make the best of our time from now and hope we can be close.

I look towards my Mother and Aunts and could feel the tension in the air, my eyes found those of my Mother and I smiled and grabbed her hand All will be well Mother I whisper

I squeezed my brothers hand I had never seen him so choked up actually he had never cried in front of us.

My brother loves you Nuriye. You are born of his blood which makes you are blood too. I can promise you that he won't neglect you again he is not like that. Even when you marry he will not be rid of you.

I loved my brother probably more than I should. At times I felt he was more like my farther then my brother. Words could not phantom how much he meant to me.

How is Beyhan.

I looked around at my family. Beyhan also had a daughter called Esmehan. I often wondered how Beyhan had met her husband Ayas Mehmed.

Mustafa was pulling on Sumbul's hand as they walked. To Mustafa he was somewhat like a pirate with a hoop of an earring. He had just woken up from his nap and was told to go and join his farther and aunts outside. His mother was in bed resting, awaiting for a baby to come.

As they came into view Mustafa ran up to the tent. All his aunts were their and his farther was sitting upright at the top. Mustafa had not seen his farther since he came here. He didn't know where to look first his favourite aunty was here. "Hatice.."

He exclaimed loudly with cheeks rosy. Their were two other ladies he did not know and he grew immediately frightened, hiding behind his farther for protection. He moved his head to see again.

I was about to reply when suddenly a young boy came running in with the most cheekiest smile I had ever seen. My eyes watched him as he ran about us all. I decided to go and sit inbetween my aunts. When I had turned round, I noticed the young boy standing behind my farther. A flicker of emotion came across my face as I watched them together.

Mustafa, took the half of orange from his Aunt Fatma. She used to always cheer me up and make me laugh when my father had no time to see me. Mustafa shrieked his voice with delight as his father lifted him up on to his lap. "I missed you too baba. When can you teach me to play with the wooden swords again."

As his father addressed his siblings, Mustafa sat contently on his lap eating the pieces of orange. He had no idea who Nora was but his ears pricked up when they mentioned his mother. "Are mother and Nora both ill."

Mustafa gave a simple shrug. He was raised to believe that this empire would one day be his he looked intently at his father. "If I had two brothers, will you love me even less. If I had a brother would the concubines push them into the pond too! I hope Nora won't try to hurt me father." Even though his father was a king, their were some of his mothers attendants and those of the Valide that scared him. The evil glances and the curses under their breath were scary. "If Nora gives you a son will she let me play with him because the two of us could teach him things that you taught me."

I took the orange placing it to the side of me. I kept my focus on my farther and his younger son. The similar facial features they both had. I was very overwhelmed with the number of aunts that I had clearly my farther was the only boy.

How many sisters do you have my sultan.

For now it was best to approach my farther as such, I did not want little Mustafa upset at the prospect of having a sister now certainly wasn't the time for him to find out.

I wasn't aware that others knew of my dreams. I kept them close to my heart and shared them with nobody.

I may be a dreamer but without dreams where would one be. For it is dreams that fuel us in our darkest hours.

I look around at my Aunts as my Uncle describes each one and smile, he is very good at describing them and when my eyes lock with my dear Aunt Hatice my smile widens at the mention of her marriage to Ibrahim, of all her dreams that was the one I longed to see come true and make her so happy.

Uncle is right I whisper to my Mother You are very loving and I hope to follow in your footsteps when it is my turn I smile and kiss her hand

Mustafa gasped he never thought of his Aunt marrying. He rested his head against his bubba, gently sucking on his thumb. Mustafa felt safe in his arms. He stretched up and whispered in his ear. "Who is the young girl Aunt Fatma gave her orange to."

He was curious as they both shared the same half of an orange and he had never seen her before.
