"You look just fine, " he whispered reassuringly and held her hand, so she would take a seat - at his side.

I held Anthony's hand just a little tightly remaining at his side. It's lovely to meet you Abi. I'm sure you have many tales to tell about your brother. I winked mischievously at Anthony, as my fingers moved against his.

Anthony glanced down to his hand and noticed her slender fingers gently moving within his hand.
He smiled and replied playfully, "Remember your loyalties Abi, you cannot give away all my bad traits and embarrassing tales."
He took a breath and glanced between them both as he reclined into his chair. He wouldn’t normally stay when ladies were speaking with each other but Joan had never met his sister before and so he stayed, for her own comfort.

I laughed nervously a part of me did wonder what Anthony was like before me. I guessed somethings I would rather hear from him and some I was not so bothered about. Does Abi reside at court as well. I asked looling from Anthony and then to her. They looked a like in both similar ways something about the eye's.

Anthony sighed and drank his ale again, "Abi, "he began and winked at his sister, "Wants to move to a battlefield. She is studying medicine and we are all very proud...but I doubt any of the family will condone such a dangerous venture."

I had my own opinions about how far a woman should go with her career. I could see both sides of the story though. I did agree with Anthony, being a nurse at war was not the right place for a lady. Healing the wounded is a very important job I couldn't do it. I could imagine Anthony following you to the battlefields if you were to go. I tried to make light of a heavy subject.

He scoffed, "I shall have to one day if Harry keeps going on about his right to France as King of England. It's fools logic to me but one day I think I shall have leave, as will many of the men in England."
He then added playfully, "I could think of none other, with a more gentle and skilled hand than Abigail to tend any wounds of mine...I'd just rather she did it in England..."

I stood up to greet the lady who was now the apple of my brother's eye.
Touche Joan my brother was telling me all about you. You are the first lady I have ever seen with Anthony.
Seating myself down I watched how my brother was with her. Gentle, delicate, acting like a true gentleman. Their was love in both of their eye's whether they knew it or not it was their.
I enjoy my little job if you would call it that. It started out as a small hobby and now I like to help the wounded. At the palace they have different doctors for different things. My brother is a very loyal person to people, I can't think of any bad faults just now.

Anthony smiled, almost appreciatively after her words and finished off his ale. He then stood and stretched tiredly, "Well," he began, "I think I shall retire for tonight, it has been a long day."
He turned to Abigail, "I shall get them to light the fire in one of the rooms for you," he kissed the top of her hair in a brotherly fashion, "Stay as long as you like."
As he left he touched Joan beneath her chin, remembering the buttercup. He grinned warmly at her, "I shall see you soon, "he whispered.
