Sabrina smiled at parents and the way they were looking at tiny new daughter was her favorite part of her job. She gave scissors to Niklaus, and nodded to him in reassuring manner, then turned to lady Elizabeth and replied, Of course, your grace.

Niklaus took the scissors from Sabrina's hands. He looked at his littled daughter and finally he cut the cord. Smiling, he took her in his arms "Esther Hope Petrovin..yes. My little, beautiful princess.." He kissed softly baby's head and placed her finally in Elizabeth arms "She has your eyes, my love. You just made me the happiest man in the world.." Sitting on bed, he kept on caressing Elizabeth's hairs and looked at Sabrina "Thank you, lady Sabrina. For all you did for my wife and my child. You deserve a reward for your excellent job.."

I was not quite sure whether I fed her or not. It was well known that when you had girls a wet nurse would be brought in, to feed the child for you. I never really liked to follow tradition as such but I still debated the matter. Ehm.. Some ladies have a wet nurse to ensure the quick succession of a boy. Someone tell me do I have to follow such tradition in letting a "Stranger" bond with my own flesh and blood. Sabrina, Margaret what would you do.

Margaret looked at the baby. She was so cute and she couldn't stop smiling. She touched her little hand turning to Elizabeth "Oh Elizabeth..she is the sweetness itself! I am not an expert..but I think she needs your milk. It's her first meal. Later you can let a nanny to feed her.." She replied, noticing her friend's hesitation. Mother and daughter looked beautiful together

Sabrina thought about Elizabeth's question for a moment. You don't have to follow such tradition if you don't want to. You may feed your won child and it will not bring any harm, actually your milk is the best for her. She said honestly. Even Sabrina was against such tradition, since there was no harm in feeding your own child like others like to say, but she was just a midwife in a world that woman's opinion didn't matter. And there is nothing wrong in having a wet nurse either.

I was glad that this seemed like the right method to do right now. I didn't want a stranger feeding my child these were precious bonding moments so people said. I would rather feed my own child. We are in no rush to have another child I want to just enjoy Esther. I looked at Sabrina as I fed my child wondering if I was doing this right. You will be a natural when you have babies Sabrina and you Margaret. Are you around at court or are you heading of traveling Sabrina. Selfishly I wanted to keep Sabrina here just incase I slipped up. I always had Margaret but she had her own family to plan now.

Niklaus looked at Elizabeth and their child. He listened the ladies talking and touched Esther's chin softly smiling "I totally agree, my love. I think you should feed her. I don't care about traditions. I just care about our baby's welfare.." The baby was smiling and he looked at Elizabeth, knowing that she cared about his opinion

Sabrina smiled to Elizabeth, noticing her eyes on her. You're doing it perfect, lady Elizabeth. She said reassuring, letting her know she was feeding the child properly. I don't think I'd leave the court any time soon, so if you've any question's or need help, you're more than welcome to send for me.

I took Klaus hand within mine watching our daughter feeding Thank you Sabrina and Margaret for your help today. I think for now I would just like to spend time with Lord Petrovin. I asked in the most non rudest way as possible. But I was tired and wanted nothing better but to fall asleep in his arms.

Niklaus watched Elizabeth feeding their baby with amazed eyes. The room was rather crowded, but he felt like they were alone "Yes..I agree. I think you deserve to rest, now. Our beautiful princess made you rather tired, my love.." He joked, looking at little Esther. She looked rather hungry, and it looked like she had no intention to leave her mother's breasts

Margaret stroked the baby's foot softly and smiled at Elizabeth "Of course..it's natural, don't worry. Enjoy your baby and try to rest. I'll come back to you later, my friend.." She stood up, she curtsied before Klaus, lady Margery and lady Jane and left the room

Okay Margaret I shall write to you and keep you updated on the little one. I smiled gratefully as they left very glad to be alone. I think you should hold her my love as I want to put on a fresh nightgown. How does it feel to have a new addition in you're life.

Niklaus extended his arms, and finally could hold his child in his arms "She..she is perfect, my love. Her eyes, her little nose. I can't believe that she is ours. You made me very happy, Elizabeth. Very happy.." He repeated, staring at her little cute face. She was smiling in his arms "And she will become very beautiful..just like her mother.." He added turning his glance towards Elizabeth

A new chapter for us has just begun. And I can't wait to see where it takes us I wrapped my hand around his watching them both lovingly. I had different kinds of love for everyone in my life.

My sister Rebekah is back at court. She would love to meet you. And of course our love's fruit too.." He said, meaning Esther

I let my hand play with the little toes on my daughters feet. Is she staying around for the seasonal time. I had yet the pleasure to meet Klaus sister she seemed to go where ever the wind blows. Some time with just us would be nice before we tried for another child. I want to see this own grow and watch her develop a personality.

I watched him contently as he showered our daughter in affection. Enjoy these precious years. As when she is older I am sure she shall be quite a little madam! I joked as my laugh sounded rather evil. Does she look like your sister I was intrigued to ask as I saw only Klaus in our daughter. It didn't bother me if she took after her fathers side I was just curious.

Niklaus laughed "Oh..when she'll be older I'll watch on her..and I'll be very strict about her suitors. No one can steal my little princess from me so easily.." He winked jokingly at Elizabeth, and then turned towards his baby again "Hmm..yes, she looks like Rebekah..but just a bit. Especially for her nose. But she looks much more like her beautiful mother.."

Niklaus was smiling tenderly at his daughter, when he turned towards Elizabeth after hearing her question "My childhood? Oh..there is not so much to say. Rebekah and I were very close..and still we are. Our mother was..very protective to us. But..I never had a good relationship with my father. You know..I don't know why, but I always felt refused by him.." He sighed and turned his eyes towards little Esther again "But I'd prefere not to talk about that, if you don't mind. Look at her..she is smiling at me. Perhaps she feels that I'm her daddy.." He added smiling to change topic

I plastered a smile on my face. Nothing had changed he was reluctant to talk about things and we now had a child together. "Some Fathers don't like to show emotion Klaus. It was hard not to imagine that Klaus was probably bullied by him.

Niklaus took a breath and put slowly his baby girl in Elizabeth's arms again "Some fathers shouldn't have children, Elizabeth. Especially if they can't love them. But..I intend to give to Esther all my love and protection. You and her will be the centre of my world. And..I'll give her the fatherly love that I have always missed.." He replied simply, and kissed Elizabeth's forehead gently. He felt he loved her even more, now that they were finally parents

I looked worriedly over at him. I would always strive to give him the love he should of gotten as a child. My love don't you think that all babies are made from love. Love is all Esther will know from us. But I hope she takes after you more. She needs to be feisty and fend of men.
