Swing in the Garden

Margaret decided to have a wak in the garden. She noticed that Alfonsina was not at Whithall yet. Then she had much more free time. While waking and breathing fresh air, she noticed a cute swing. She smiled happily, reminding when she was at Allington Castle, and played joyfully with her brother Thomas. She sat on it and kept on remembering her childhood

When she was feeling better , she decided to walk around. She went to garden. The weather was so peaceful that she smiled herself. She took a deep breath. There was a swing in the garden. She slowly approached the swing and sat down. She was looking around , thinking and swinging so slowly. She lived hard times. Still she was living maybe.. But she wanted to believe that she would overcome all of these.. She was a mother again. She had a son. She would spend all of her life for her child for his happiness. And Edward.. She was loving her husband so much. She knew she couldn't show it to him. She wasn't good at showing her love to anyone. She didn't know what to do. She didn't realize but she started to swing a little bit faster.

Sitting quietly along on the swing in the garden, I can't help but think about life. I close my eyes in the bright sun light, but hearing footsteps on the ground in front of me, I open my eyes and see the Spanish ambassador
"Hola senyor Mendoza que tal?"

Inigo walked in the garden to reach Queen Katherine. He choosed having a private meeting with her, far from dangerous ears. Once he saw her sitting on a bench, he came closer with slow steps and bowed deeply

Happy day, Your Majesty...

He kissed gently her hand and raised his eyes to her face again

I smile gently and lovingly up at him, taking him by the hand get him to sit next to me
"Indeed, senor Mendoza. So honestly, how is the trial going? Has Campeggio heard anything from His Holiness the Pope? Am I to be abandoned? Or is the case to go back to Rome?"

Inigo sat next to her and nodded with a weak smile

Campeggio received secret instructions from His Holiness, who has advocated the matter back to Rome...

He answered, looking at her sad face

Inigo nodded

The Emperor worked tirelessly for your cause...

"I pray to God and the Virgin Mary every day for my cause, for Henry has been poisoned. He is my husband. I thank the Emperor for all of his help in this matter.."
I stop and look at him
"There is something else? I see in your eyes... what is it? It's true you're going away?"

Inigo nodded slowly after her question. He sighed

Yes, Your Majesty. Ambassador Chapuys will replace me...

He answered, trying to hide sadness in his voice

Looking at him with all my fondness, I look at his hand
"I know him. I trust he is willing to help me in my case, if he is to replace you, I know he will be good as you, nor the Emperor will send me someone who will assist me. But I'm so sorry to be loosing you for, I know you have fought for my cause.."
Looking at him, I feel tears building up. I feel a bit abandoned, I will miss him so
"Please, take this as a gift to remember me by.."
I hand him a ring, which I was given when I first came to England. It's been part of me all my years here

Inigo stood up and took the ring from her hands. He bowed gratefully with his head

Thank you, Your Majesty. Ambassador Chapuys is a very trustful person. He will take care to defend you with loyalty and devotion...

He looked at her face, admired by her dignity and strenght. With a weak smile he bowed deeply

Your Majesty...

Then he kissed her hand gently and left the garden, praying silently God to be at her side

Mary arrive the Garden and wait of her Mother.

As soon as I got out of the Palace, I ran to the swing in the garden, calling out for Mary
"Mary... Mary!!"

Marry walk at the hand from her Mother through the garden.

I look at her with such love and yet anger. I mustn't let my anger show, for I am not angry at her, but at her father. Henry has said nothing of this to me. Smiling with the need to answer her question

Mary is surprise she thought she was the only that can be the next Queen of England.

"When she can be Queen of England than she is on first place,she is older as me".

Mary look at her Mother she saw that she hide her real feeling.

" In next time i must go back to Ludlow to make my studies."

Mary take a deep breath.

" Why i can not my studies make here in Whitehall? I don`t want go away from London"

I look at her and lift her onto my knee
"Mary! It is your father's wishes, not mine that you leave. You know I would much rather have you here with me by my side. But remember, I will always love you.." I kiss her forhead
"Anyway, we have all this time now to play. So, come on.." I put her down of my knee, and run away to get her to chase after me

As I walk about the gardens, I find a swing in a semi secluded spot. I sit down upon it and breathe in the fresh air. I think I may like it here after all.

I stand up and curtsy, Your Grace. I smile, trying to be as courteous as I can be.

I am doing quite well Your Grace. I smile and sit back down on the swing. How are you doing this fine day?
