Secret Rose Garden

She looked at the sky. How blue it was , she thought. Then she focused on Cesare again.

"I don't know.. I heard he is in Tuscany. I didn't see him. But I guess we should get together as soon as possible. It has been a very long time since we haven't been a proper family."

Cesare grumbled like a child and fiddled with her fingers as he kept her close to him,"We haven't seen each other together for good reason, my love."

She giggled and nodded as she put her head on his shoulder.

"I know.. But you are brothers even if your relationship is not like one."

Juan was always the sharp one among them. He seemed like he was always angry. From their childhood Alfonsina always thought like that. But now they had just each other so they had to trust each other.

"I missed you.. What did you do during my absence? Was there any girl?"

"It was uneventful,"he replied and began walking with her, ignoring her last question.

"How are my nephews?"

She smiled teasingly. Typical Cesare.. He always espaced when Alfonsina asked him about a girl.

"They are fine.. Come and see. They missed you too."

The she sighed , stopped and took his face between her hands. His eyes were always dark but affectionate.

"You can't always run away from these kind of topic , Cesare."

He smiled and kissed her nose,"I'm not running away, sis."

She left his face and shrugged.

"If you say so.."

"So what have you been doing with yourself, sis?"he asked.

She smiled teasingly again.

"Me? Nothing different brother.. I am still waiting that husband whom you will find.."

"Why the rush?"he asked plainly.

She turned her back to his face in an angry way.

"Rush? I told you why the rush when we were back in Genoa , brother."

"Remind me, sis,"he asked patiently.

She sighed sadly and rolled her eyes. Then she sat down on a bench that she found.

"There are some rumours about me and me being a widow such a long time."

Cesare rolled his eyes,"Let them grumble."

She looked at him and suddenly she found herself thinking about that day when they kissed. It was never out of her mind anway. She looked at him again as if she was going to say something but she didn't.

"You know better."

She said instead.

"You know me better, sister. I will not allow them to do this. Certain things I will not countenance,"he said earnestly.

She giggled and hugged him tightly.

"I love you so much brother.."

He smiled and brushed her hair,"I love you more."

She smiled again.

"Do you think Juan will come to England?"

"I hope not,"he replied and took a seat beside her,"We will only fight..."

She sighed. She knew that.

"I can imagine.. Can you just ignore him or what he says?"

Cesare grunted and sighed. He and Juan were so different - it was difficult for him to be in his company.

"I don't know sis...I shall try for you."

She smiled warmly to him.

"I would be grateful brother."

Juan decided to take a walk in the East Garden. He took a cigaro and lighted it up. He was smoking when he saw two familiar figures talking to each other. He recognised his sister Alfonsina and his brother Cesare. The last time he saw them was long time ago. He was surprised to see them here. "What a surprise to meet you both here!We haven`t seen each other in... months, I believe?" said Juan approaching them.

While they were talking Alfonsina smelt something on the air. Someone was approaching towards them. It waa Juan , their brother. He was as handsome as always. She looked at Cesare to see his face then she smiled to Juan.

"Welcome brother.. What brought you to England? I had never thought that i would see you here one day.."
