He cupped Marie's beautiful face in one hand, and with the other hand he softly stroked his fingers along her soft and slender neck. Then he moved his face closer to hers, his lips parted and pressed against Marie's. Her lips were warm and sweet from the wine.

Marie didn't do anything. She felt his hands cup her face, and his gentle lips pressed against hers. This was the first time a man was ever gentle with her. She closed her eyes, and pressed her hand against the backo his head, and she returned the kiss.

Ever so softly he parted her lips and deepened the kiss, the warmth of her mouth was intoxicating and he felt he could kiss her until there was no more breath in his body. Finally he pulled away slowly, looking softly into her eyes, and smiling. "It was better than I could imagine," he whispered.

He tilted his head to the side and regarded Marie. "Is that so?" He also smirked. "Because I am not quite satisfied just yet," he said before taking her face in his hands and kissing her again, passionately this time.

"Yes...it is," she replied, and chuckled. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and relished in their kiss. Oh, this man was perfect! He was everything she wanted. And, he was a wonderful lover. WIth that she gently pulled back, and smiled. "Now tell me.....are you always this loving," she asked, as she giggled.

Marie bit her lip, and let ot a small moan. And, she looked at him, and gently gripped his hand. "I am a very loving woman. And, if you were to visit my chambers tonight.....I could show you how very 'loving' I can be," she said, with a smirk in her face.

Marie blushed as he kissed her hand. With that she came to her feet, and curtsied enough so he could see down her bodice. "Yes, until tonight," she said, and walked out of the room.

As they arrived at the French court, Christophe was glad to be on his homeland ground again. Before entering his rooms, he swept Angelique into his arms and carried her over the threshold, just as a husband should.

I giggle softly, my head bent back , hanging off his arm as he carries me into his chambers. Our journey in life has been long and we both have suffered losses but through it all, we have found each other. It is like that God himself meant for us to happen.

I kiss him as he sets me down but I feel a bit woozy. From our journey perhaps?

No, No, I am fine. I think the journey tired me a bit. I sit down upon his bed and smile. My eyes look to him and I see a glimmer in his eyes, that unmistakable glimmer. I pull him to me, kissing him deeply, whispering, But I am not to tired to please my husband. Isn't that what a wife is supposed to do?
