Banks near the stream

Alfonsina was feeling better than any other days that day.She decided to go out a little and took some fresh air. She dressed up and went to St.James' park. She found a bank near the stream and sat. The weather was lovely and the stream was looking relaxing.She closed her eyes and enjoyed the lovely times.

The weather was that which was permissible of outdoor exercise and thus I took my steps out on the crusty grass which had been coated with frost. The sun burned however the frost still clung to the shards of grass.
With my bonnet tied beneath my chin and a shawl wrapped around my shoulders I was perfectly unaffected by the weather and I marvelled at the beauty of the morning.

Upon my ponderings by the river I noticed a figure perched by the banks of river. So close was the said person I thought for moment she was ready to dive into the icy waters. However upon further approach I remarked she was settled safely away from the edge . . .

While she was sitting she realized that someone's coming. She turned her head and saw a girl who has a pale but beautiful face. She smiled to her weakly and spoke.

"Hello.."

Upon her address I nod my head civilly; how confident these courtiers are! I recall that my previous residence was so quiet and most persons preferred isolation. Conversation therefore with strangers was a rarity but one which I relished. I longed to be closer to the city and noise of London.

"Good-day,"I replied with a smile trying at my lips upon my thinkings.

Alfonsina realized that she was new at court. That was obvious because she has never seen her at court and also her eyes were looking innocent.

"I think you are new at court."

She spoke with a warm voice.

"Would you sit?"

She pointed her near.

I nodded and again was amazed at how confidently she spoke to me and with such fluency, despite her foreign accent.
It was European but I regret to reveal I knew not what country,"Yes, I arrived yesterday."

Upon the request of the woman I strode forward and perched beside her. I could not hid my excitement at the interaction which was so rare to my usual custom. With no doubt it would be strange but pleasant,"I am Jane Elliot,"I ventured,"I'm a governess."

She listened her carefully and when she found out that she was governess she smiled soflty.

"That's very good. I have a son who is a baby right now. Maybe when he is a little grown up , you can be his governess."

I nodded and listened intently to her words,"I give my well wishes to to your son. I have not been a governess for long, prior to my occupation I was a teacher at the institution in which I was brought up and given an education."

She listened her and she was surprised.

"How does being a teacher make you feel?"

She asked with a warm smile on her face.

"At my previous residence I enjoyed the work and the girls were ones whom I had grown up with. It was charitable institution and it seemed a natural course to progress from pupil to teacher. However the hours were long and eventually I found the work unsatisfying,"I say and tell her my stories.

"I understand.. So.. How did you decide to come to court?"

She asked.

I clasped my hands upon my lap and replied,"I grew restless. I had a persistent urge to relieve myself of my situation. It came to me one night I could apply to be a governess and I received notice a position was available within a week at court. Thus I left my employment and travelled here and I must say I rather like it-it is in stark contrast from my previous dwelling."

She nodded.

"I understand.. I hope the court will treat you well then , my dear."

Then she added.

"You look young. Are you married or do you have any affairs?"

I smile at her kindest of words. I seem drawn to her as she has a bright demeanour and a willingness to show friendship and extend her hand of guidance,"My hearty thanks. I find myself much adjusted to court."

At her question I shake my head and touch my dress,"No. At my previous institute the prospect of marriage was quite out of possibility and I have never had any real conversation with a man, my whole life I have grown up in isolation from male acquaintance. I hope of love but do not yearn for it with a passion such as I had to leave my school where I taught."

She nodded and smiled.

"For your beauty , it is really hard to be far away from love , i guess. When you get used to court , you will see that all men will have interest for you. Be careful.. Some of them are really hunters."

She smiled again.

"I hope you will find the true love you deserve."

I laugh,"Feel not the need to lie as I know I do not possess handsome features like you do. I assume you have been wedded? In any case I am rather plain. I am no great beauty."
