| Norfolk entered the party, arm in arm with his wife, Elizabeth. Christmas was a hard time for him, remembering his first wife Anne who died in November 1510, two years after their twelve years old son died. He never forgot the first Christmas without his family and hated these days ever since. He looked around and put on a smile, nodding at people. Bess was in service of Anne this evening and would come to the party in her revenue. He saw his friend Thomas More sitting at a table with his wife Alice and approached them.
Let us sit with the More's, dear. he said to Elizabeth, smiling radiantly at them. Thomas, my friend! And your ever elegant wife, Alice, so good to see you. he said while he bowed slightly at Thomas and then gently took the hand of Alice to kiss it.

| Meric walked through the large hall, his hand on White's hand on his arm, smiling friendly at the people gathering. He felt pride and grattitude to be reunited with his beloved wife and celebrate Christmas here at the English court. A wonderful tree it is, my love. He said to her and smiled, noticing the happiness in her eyes.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year, yes, I love it, especially with you, my love. Look at the beautiful decorated fireplace, my queen, doesn't it remind you of our own? Let us sit down here for a while and have a drink. I don't see king Henry yet and I hope to speak with him this evening, I wonder if he remembers me, we were children when we met for the first - and last - time. You know the Lady Anne, don't you, my angel? He asked her while they sat down close to the fireplace.

"Forgive me my lady I am Thomas Cromwell. I'm a Secretary to His Majesty. I have been here awhile, I used to be in the household of Cardinal Wolsey, your godfather." He looked into her eyes hoping she would have a fond memory of the poor man and not revile him like all the others. "Currently I am working on a very important study for the kingdom." he refused to say it was due to the anullment the king still sought.
Mary saw Thomas More and his wife Alice. She nod in her way. Than she turn back to the talk with Mr.Chromwell. " You have work for Cardinal Wolsey ." Mary remember that her mother warn her about Wolsey.Mr.Cromwell was in his office. Perhubs she must be careful.Wolsey was an enemy of her mother. " What is it for an important study for the Kingdom?" He smiled at Mary and nodded, knowing she was likely told to be careful or even wary of him. I worked for he cardinal for many years, it does sadden me to know he is no longer here at court. Knowing that King Henry's business was very confidential he was loath the discuss the matter with Mary. It was a sensitive topic and one she was rather better off not knowing. I am sorry, but the details of the study are very private. They involve a matter which rests very closely to His Majesty's heart That was all he would say of it.

| Bess enters with Lady Anne and others of her maids. Anne walks towards her uncle and bows, he's with his wife Elizabeth, that silly woman Bess can't stand, she knows how much she despises her but she doesn't mind, she has to accept she and Thomas love each other, Bess is his woman, maybe not before the law but in practise. She looks at him and they share a knowing look, she winks and smiles and doesn't apart her eyes from his. | |

| Come, come. I'm a bachelor and need my fun for the night. My bed is hot…I say as I laugh drunkenly and chug down my fresh goblet of ale. The little wench will soon submit.
I peer over her dress at her plump breasts and tug on it a little so I can see more. Very nice... What do you say you show me what's underneath here? I'll give you gold and dresses…maybe a bit of land if you are good.
