Princess Isabella Of Portugal Chamber

Isabella shut gently the door to her chamber noticing Maria and Inge she quickly stepped to her bed glancing over at Inge to see Max asleep.

"Maria can you let the king know I am back please and make sure no one else comes in please."

Isabella quickly removed her clothes that were pressing against her stomach and crawled into bed wincing at the pain.

Inge stood up. She looked astonished at the Princess

"Your Highness..you're back! We are glad to see you. I was very worried about you. If you wish staying alone with the King, I shall bring Max in my room with Leo.."

She said still keeping the baby in her arms

Isabella was surprised how long had she be gone for.

"I did not mean to make you worry Inge."

Isabella climbed into bed resting her head on the pillow holding out her arms to take Max.

"I think I will hold him for awhile I do really want to bond with him and a few days rest would be lovely especially with the King. I have left my worries about my aunt with the ambassador and he understood me which is a great relief he reminds me of my farther I just hope the king will understand as I love him"

Richard stood outside Isabella's door. A servant entered to announce him

"His Majesty King Richard of Bavaria!"

Inge heard the servant announcing the King. She bowed at the Princess after letting Max into his mother's arms

"As you wish, Your Highness.."

She smiled and left the room

Isabella certainly did not care for her tone of voice she used and wondered if she had made a mistake to come back she longed to spend time with her sister and sit put in the sunshine and write letters eating peaches outside.

"You are being very formal Richard you never ask to enter my chamber what is wrong? "

Rolling her eyes she glanced to the sunshine outside wanting to go and explore.

Richard walked into room and smiled. He took a breath approaching her bed

Is this your way to tell me that you're happy to see me? You know..you're the mother of my son, now. Everything is different. I missed you..

He said sitting on her bed. A tender smile appeared on his lips looking at Max

He is beautiful, Isabella. Just like you..

Isabella looked at him with woeful eyes she did not like what he said about everything being different.

"Why does everything have to be different? This is what I did not want to happen but in the back of my mind a little voice kept saying : Told you so! Explain to me how things will be different. I have given up everything to have a chance if happiness with you Richard."

Richard was smiling at the baby. But he turned his eyes towards Isabella after her words

Every couple's life changes when a baby comes to the world. That's a natural thing. Why do you always fear to lose something, Isabella? You have me. And we both have Max. So why are you so worried?

He asked, still perplexed

"Frankly Richard I have taken on much of this pathetic drama towards me and not once have you ever stuck up for me you use a feeble excuse such as I was caught up in a moments passion. Enough is enough I want to go back to Spain to live with Max I am a human their is only such limits I can take you want to make everyone in this court happy but it is me who gets hurt the most. Now if you would not mind I would like time with my son not yours and I want to rest the quicker I heal the faster I can go goodbye Richard."

Isabella turned her face away from him she felt so alone in this palace since Max was born that she longed for home to see her aunt and Beatrice.

Richard felt very confused by her words. He really didn't know how to behave with her.He sighed touching softly her arm

What's happened to you, Isabella? I can't recognize you anymore since you gave birth. You..you try to avoid me, you leave Palace saying you want to go to Spain. Then you come back and you want to go away again. Sorry...but I understood nothing. If I did something wrong..please tell me. I never saw you like this..

He said finally, wondering what was in her mind. He feared she could have some post partum depression. But he didn't share this thought with her

"I am feeling a little pulled in different directions at the moment and I do not mean to be a pain sorry."

Isabella was comforted by him stroking her arm it put an smile on her face.

Richard sighed and came closer. He kissed softly her shoulder

I'm just worried about you, Isabella. And I don't want to see you in pain. I'm here and I have no intention to leave you. Come here..

He wrapped his arms around her. He smiled at little Max and hugged them both

Isabella rested her head on his chest leaning Max on his lap she felt comforted by Richard.

"This is nice this is what I wanted after Max was born."

Richard kissed softly her hairs and kept on caressing them slowly

You had not an easy birth, Isabella. You had a complicated surgery. I just wanted you to rest. Do you really thought that I lost interest in you?

He asked while smiling indulgently

Resting was going to be impossible for Isabella she was not used to sitting down all the time stuck in a room waiting to heal.

"No but I need to be doing things being stuck in here is going to be hard and you get to be out enjoying all the nice things and fresh air. If you had ever lost interest in me I would rather you say instead of keeping me hanging on."

She looked up at him her head still resting on his chest.

Richard kissed her hairs again and smiled

Oh we'll have long walk in the gardens soon. You need some fresh air. In the meanwhile..have rest. And prepare yourself for Easter. I have a gift for you..

He whispered smiling into her ear

Isabella sighed Easter was about restoring your faith it was normally tradition to have a new born baby christened on Easter Sunday.

"I love Easter it is very special it's starting a fresh shedding of the old skin and being reborn and Max is a sign of new life but I have you as my gift Richard"

Isabella kissed his hand still resting her head back on his chest.

Richard smiled watching her kissing his hand

And you already gave me Max as gift. He is the most precious gift I could receive. Other things are not important..

He kissed her hairs still on his chest

"No but what is this gift that you yourself want to bestow upon me mine is a simple kiss do you accept it."

Isabella turned her head resting her chin on his chest with lustful eyes.

Richard smiled as he kept on caressing slowly her soft hairs

How could I refuse it? I missed your kisses..

He whispered with teasing tone into her ears

His voice went trailed down my body placing my hand on his cheek I brought his lips closer to mine slowly Isabella let them touch enjoy the sense of their touch against one another her body was tingling all over and she was aching for him like her bud was going to burst open. Gently and quickly she moved Max from her lap her hand ripping open his doublet.

"Stay right here whilst I put Max in his crib"

Climbing of the bed she gently rested her son in his crib at the foot of her bed. She took of some layers of clothing but not all as she did not want to scare Richard with her scar that would be enough to put him of her.

Climbing back into bed she eyed him all over.

"Now we can't be intimate but their is a way to keep you satisfied if you will allow it."

Richard watched her putting Max in his crib. He was a very cute baby. A teasing smile came on his lips once he realized she had something in her mind

Really? Hmm..you know that I allow you, everything, Isabella..

He said caressing softly her cheek still sat on her bed

His touch was as soft like snow Isabella outstretched her body against his placing her head in his lap she liked the sensual touches of his hands they filled her cheeks with warmth.

"Who knows it feels like such a long time that I have even touched your body I plan to explore it all over again."

Richard wrapped both his arms around her
