Path By the River Thames

Walking away from court to clear my mind, hopefully to run into him again

hearing my name being called i turn around seeing Nan, i go towards her and curtsy knowing she is very close to my sister. Your Grace how are you?

Walking along the path trying to clear my mind

Edward made his way to the Thames- he walked down the path and then paused by the river, hoping she would come ...

She wore her favourite dress which was in light pink color. Finally she looked at the mirror again. Then she made her way to river. The weather was so great. Sun was smiling and warming her body. Her curly blonde hair was falling from her shoulders. When she arrived to the Thames , she saw him. Her heart started to beat faster and faster. She breathed heavily for the last time. Then,she went next to him. She ran and hugged him suddenly. She also kissed his soft cheek.

"I am so glad that you came."

He smiled and laughed warmly at her reaction. He took her face gently in his hands and kissed her lips, he then looked at her for a moment-overwhelmed by her beauty. The sub shone down on her and her golden hair framed her beautiful face.

He then took her hand and began to walk with her,"I am glad I did too. You look very beautiful..."

She smiled to him.

"Thank you. I tried my best to seem beautiful to you."

He smiled and turn to her as he felt his heart beat faster,"You don't need to try...there is a beauty that radiates from inside you."

They then reached a beautiful point on the path- they stopped and smile warmly at her...

When they stopped , she looked at the view. It was breath-taking. It got more beautiful with him. Then,she turned to him and smiled.

"You talked about your sister while you were telling your story. So,when will i meet her? I am really looking forward to it."

She held his hand.

"Whenever you wish but first...I...I must ask you something..,"

She looked at him curiously.

"Of course,my lord."

"Alfonsina...My Love...When I was a boy I often found myself dreaming of how my life may be-I thought of many characters I would want in my life and how we would happily live a life of merriment and joy. Though I was just a child and now I am a man I have thought of a different life-one in which I see myself being the most happy. One in which I should like you to be in. You have given me such love-such love which is far beyond my deserving,"

He smiled and took her hand, whilst the other retrieved an object from the pocket in his waistcoat. Once the object was in his hand he kneeled,"Therefore I make you this promise now...I will love you now for as long as life permits...you are the most entirely beloved."

He then showed her the object- a priceless ring which was encrusted with expensive diamonds and precious stones.

"My Love Alfonsina...will you marry me and be my wife?"

For a while,she was trying to understand the situation. Edward purposed her. Edward loved her. She was so happy that she couldn't speak. She was just looking at the ring. She could just shook her head. She was wanting to say "yes" but the word couldn't come out from her mouth.

He smiled widely as she nodded her headed-he embraced her in his arms. All he could do was smile he then realised the ring was still in his hand.

He then kneeled down again and took her left hand-he then gently slid the ring onto her fourth finger and looked up. It fit perfectly...

He then stood and took both her hands as their lips gently touched ...

She was watching him while he was putting the ring on her. When he was done with ring , their lips met.

"You couldn't make much happier.."

He didn't know what to say, he was truly happy. The most happy.

Their lips then left each other and he gently caressed her cheek,"Thank you,"he whispered...

Alfonsina was looking at her future husband's eyes. Still,she couldn't believe that she was happy eventually with the man whom she loved.She smiled tenderly.

"No Edward.. I thank you.."

He smiled and tenderly kissed her hand. He then took her left hand and looked at it,"Do you like it?"

He asked and gestured towards the ring....

She smiled and nodded. Then,she raised her hand towards the sun.The ring was shining.

"I absolutely adore it." She kissed his cheek with her heart.

He smiled and took her hand, as they began to stroll down the path.

"...And I absolutely adore you..."

He kissed her cheek as the walked down the sun filled path...

She giggled after his answer. While they were walking down the path,she felt like the sun was shining better. She smiled to herself.

"Do your sister know that you purpose me?"

She asked with curious eyes.

He smiled and kissed her forehead as he wrapped his strong arm around her.

"No, my love...but she will the most happy to know. She has asked of you often.."

She smiled.

"I am looking forward to meet her. My love.. I hope she will like me. I am very afraid."

"She will, I know it. You needn't be afraid ... Especially not of my sister she is still a girl...but if you are ever afraid of anything I will protect you..."

He looked at her - he could not believe how lucky he was. She is the most beautiful woman on Gods earth ...
