| "Mary? Mary sweetheart are you there," Elizabeth asked as she poked her head through the door. She was eager to see her eldest child. "Sweetheart, it's your mother," she said. | |

| Elizabeth holds her arms out, and hugs her eldest child. The Countess kisses Mary's forehead, and places both of her hands on her shoulders. "Sweetheart," she continued," it is fine. I am just so happy you're back. And, yes Anne is back." | |

| Before she left Elizabeth looked at Mary. She said to her," Are your happy, my dear? I know that is an odd question....but are you happy to be back home?" Elizabeth gulped and waited for her child's reply. | |

| A servent enter the room and bring a letter to Mary.
[b]Mylady,
I am touched by your apology, honestly, I must tell that the way you have talk about my daughter have hurt me very much, much more than anything you could had tell against me, but I can feel that you are sincrely sorry for it and understand that you wasn't in your normal state, didn't meant it and sincerely make amand, so I forgive you and do want to give a chance to a possible dialog and to possibles relationships. . I accept the doll like a signe of good intention toward my daughter and I will give it to her, I am sure that she will like you gift, she do love dolls, by the way, her name is Olympe and she is four years old, nearly the same age as your Catherine, I think that she may get well with her cousin and share the same games if they encoutner. I am honoured by your invitation and tempted to accept, especially for make discover to Olympe her father's family's home and give her the occasion to spend time with her family, but I am nervous at the very idea to go there and hesitating, in fact, I fear that our presence may seriously cause problem to some members of your family, I would need to be sure that our presence will be accepted for decide on coming.
Sincerely,
Emilie De Fontanay. | |

| Walking into my room I see two letter I pick one up and read it unsure about Emilie wondering if I expected too much I sigh and put it back in the table then I pick up my second letter open and read it and smile as he excepts my apology. I write a letter and get the servant to send it and smiles. As I take off my necklace I take off the wedding ring and place it on a chain for Catherine, I open my jewellery box take out the other ring and put it on the chain so they sit side by side. I look at them both and kiss them, Catherine can have both off us together at last. I smile and lay on my bed and cry wishing William could tell me it will all be fine, As his face disappears Thomas appears in my mind I touch my lips still feeling his on mine. I close my eyes and am with him forever as I fall asleep | |

| Sitting there thinking I write a letter,
Dearest Thomas,
I have missed you since I have arrived here, I hope you and Margaret are both well. I can not tell you how much I love being here but yet it is so lonely but has giving me the freedom to think and more I do the more I regret coming here. My daughter is doing well she gets taller everyday, she broke my heart last night as I left her and the nanny to play she called her mummy which brought tears to my eyes. My own daughter does not even know me, she calls me Mary. My father has hurt me so much now for being away for too long my only hope is that I can now be with her so she can learn that am her mum, I think it is going to be a long process.
I just wish I could be with you once more but it will not be long before I see you once again,
All my love

| Mylady,
Margaret and me are both well, thank you, what about you and your daughter ? I am sorry that the things don't go well between you and her, I can imagine how much it's hurt you that she mistake you and her nanny, I think that it's due to the long separation and to her young age. But don't lost hope nor give up the things, it isn't too late, at the contrary, your time at Hever is the perfect occasion for you to do make upo the things with Catherine, it's time to show her who is her mother, to impose your place in her life and show her your love. It surely will need much efforts and time but I am sure that you can build a new relationship with her, so keep courage and be perseverant, your daughter worth it and you will not regret it. I advice you to have a talking with her nanny and explain her that it's important that she don't allow Catherine to call her "mama" and that she recall her who is her mother and also to explain to your daughter why you was absent, that it isn't a abandon of your behalf, that it was your father's decision, I think she need to hear that. I hope that soon, you will be able to tell me that everything is going better with your daughter, I wish it to both of you and her; I think you do need each others, no matter how the things are now. I understand very well your anger for your father, maybe he hadn't bad intentions in taking his decisions, even if it was harsh decision and I fear that feeling high anger and hate may hurt yourself very much and that you would feel better if you make the peace with him. Indeed, it will not be long before we see each others again , I am leaving for Allington tomorrow, I will tell you when I will be able to visit you.
Affectionnally,
Sir Thomas Wyatt | |
