Courtyard

Thomas arrived in France with his carriage after a long travel. He was ordered by Wolsey to talk with King Francis. He went off of carriage, helped by a servant. Then he kept on waiting patiently that someone came to receive him

Thomas bowed deeply as he saw King Francins approaching him. He smiled, raising his head

Votre Majestè...thank you for your warm welcome. Yes, God allowed me a good journey until here. I'm here to attend negotiations between you and Emperor. Cardinal Wolsey sent me here at his place, Majestè...

He explained, looking at him

Thomas nodded and bowed again

Thank you...Votre Majestè is very gracious...

He said smiling. Then followed him inside Palace, while his servants brought his luggage

Anne walked around the grounds of the courtyard, she hummed a french melody. She served at court as a Lady in Waiting for the Queen, Claud. She clasped her hands at the front of her and walked around the courtyard a few more times, in the French sun, as her skin soaked up its rays 'Quelle belle journée' She said and she looked up at the sun and smiled, her long blonde hair glistening in it as she did so.

I decided to have a walk around the courtyard.As I strolled down the path,I started thinking of my father.I couldn't stop to worry about him,although his last letter assured me that he was well,I still couldn't stop worry over him.I sighed deeply,looking around.Then I suddenly,walk into someone.I looked up and sow lady Anne.

''Oh Anne I am so sorry...I didn't look where I was going''

Anne looked at Brigitte and smiled Tis' ok, Lady Brigitte' She said with a heavily french accented voice, she curtsied before getting back up 'You look..very...worried?' She asked, her English wasn't very good, but she tried her best, at pronouncing the words as good as what they should be.

I smile back to her and shook my head.

''Oh it is nothing I just miss my home and my father.I sometimes think that I will never get used to life at court.Do you miss your home and family?''

I asked,looking at her.

Anne nodded a little with a kind smile 'Of course..Although..i am from francais...my mother and father are far from court' She said with a sad smile and she looked at Brigitte 'You should not have a problem here, you are very pretty' She said.

I smiled softly,looking at her.

''So how do you like court so far?''

I asked kindly.Then I blushed a bit at her words.

''Thank you,but I don't consider myself to be very pretty...You are much more prettier than me''

Anne shrugged a little 'Court is...how do you say...Busy?' She said with a smile 'People rush around as if there is no tomorrow to do stuff, and thankyou Madame! I am not often commented on my looks' She said.

I nodded,smiling kindly.

''Yes court is very busy,but you will get used to it...Oh I am sure that you will get much more comments about your looks around here and even maybe you will find husband''

I said softly,looking at her.

Anne laughed and shook her head 'Nay, i am not looking for a husband...yet' She said with a small playful smile and she walked slowly and gestured for Brigitte to walk with her.

I smiled to her and started to walk with her.

''Then you are like me...I am not looking for husband as well,but for many ladies in court I can not tell the same''

I said,looking around

Anne laughed a little and looked at Brigitte 'I think Women at court will jump at a opportunity to get married, do you not think so?' She asked.

I giggled softly,loking around.

''Oh yes they will not miss a opportunity to get married or to become one of the mistress of his majesty''

I said a little more seriously

Anne laughed a little 'That is only because King Francis is a very handsome man, do you agree?' She asked

I smiled a little.

''Yes he is indeed very handsome man...''

I answered honestly.

Anne laughed a little and looked at Brigitte 'I indeed, like talking to you, My Lady' She said.

I looked at her,smiling softly.

''And I like talking with you too,lady Anne''

Thomas came in the courtyard, followed by his servants. His mission was ended and he could finally come back to England. He left a note of thanksgiving to Francis and read the letter that Alice wrote to him. Walking towards his carriage, he noticed two young ladies talking each other and bowed with his head

Mademoiselles...

Then he got on the carriage and left the Palace

Anne curtsied to Thomas and looked at Brigitte 'Have you heard news from England?' she asked the woman.

I curtsied low to Thomas.

''Sir Thomas''

I said then looked at Anne again.

''No i didn't....Did something happened?''

I asked curiously
