Margaret Wyatt's bedchamber

Margaret smiled, sadly and ironically at the same time "Don't kidding me, my lord. I don't believe in men anymore.." She whispered with soft voice, glancing at her belly

George sighed. He brought his finger to her chin, caressed slowly "Don't close your heart."

Margaret sighed as he touched her chin "It's hard keeping it opened after all this. And even if I did..who would have interest in me? A woman left by her husband?" She asked with her innocent voice

"No, dear no" George smiled at her hopefully "When you leave this sickly bed, when you heal..Men will marvel about how a stupid man left such a desirable woman like you."

Margaret smiled weakly and leaned her hand on his chest "I don't want to fall in love again, George. It brings too much pain.." She whispered, trying hardly to refrain tears

George held her hand, kissed gently "But you can't deny how much pleasure love gave you at the same time."

Margaret watched him kissing her hand and almost giggled "Pleasure? If you mean..you know what, he gave me nothing different than others. I was just a piece of meat in his hands.." She rolled her eys

"Piece of meat?" George almost laughed "Oh, Margaret..Don't estrange me to love. "

Margaret smiled warmly for the first time "To love? You have a funny side, George Boleyn. What's happened to old one?" She said, not even realizing she was still in his arms

George smiled in a sweetish way "The old one has been dead since I entered this room." George stopped then, looked at her eyes for a few seconds without saying anything [b]"What about you, Margaret? Will you be the brave woman who I fighted with?"

Margaret nodded slowly with a small smile "I will try. I just want to forget everything, George. Everything.." She took a breath and rested her head on his chest again

I nodded to the both of them and took my leave closing the door quietly behind me.

"You will" George caressed her hair for a while without saying anything. It was awesome to feel her head's hotness in his chest. "Maybe I should go now. You should rest"

Margaret removed slowly herself from his embrace and leaned her head on pillow again. She nodded "Yes..I don't want to bother you further. Thank you for everything, George. I'll never forget.." She said with a grateful smile, looking up at him

George bent over her, dared to kiss her cheek slowly. Then he straightened up, smiled "Whenever you need me, just knock my door. See you later, my lady" George bowed. He stood up and left the room after he warned the servants about looking after Margaret very well.

Margaret smiled weakly after he spoke so gently to her. She felt touched by his behavior. Once he left, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She felt still weak but also exhausted. Few minutes later, she fell deeply asleep

I returned some time later with a bouquet of pink and white roses, and some Belgian chocolates. I felt like a schoolboy on St. Valentine's day, but I wanted to make Margaret happy. I knocked at her door. "My lady tis Sir Francis."

Margaret was finally out of her bed. She felt still weak, so she was resting on the sofa. As she heard sir Francis's voice at her door, she smiled weakly and stood up "You may come in, my lord.." She said with soft voice

I entered the room, presenting her with the flowers and candy. I felt my face blushing. 'I just wanted to make sure you're all right. I don't like to see you in pain.' I sat in a chair next to where she was laying on the sofa. 'Is there anything you need? Are you too hot, or cold? Anything I can do?

Margaret smiled gratefully as she saw flowers and candy for her. She put them on the table and smelled them deeply "Sir Francis...you are too kind, as always. Thank you...you're turning my room into a garden. And I love chocolate.." She put flowers into water and sat next to him "I feel a bit better, thank you. I am not hot anymore and...I just thank you for your concern. You're a dear friend.." She smiled weakly and leaned her hand on his

I smiled at her, the color returned to her cheeks and her eyes were a little brighter. 'I'm just glad you're better. If I need to I'll turn this entire palace into the Hanging Gardens of Babylon for you.' I smiled as I squeezed her hand. 'I shall always be your friend, Margaret.' I paused. 'Any word from Cesare yet?'

Margaret's smile disappeard as he mentioned Cesare. She shook her head "No..I have no news of him. It seems he forgot me completely. I wish I could do the same.." She said sadly. She raised her eyes to ceiling letting out a deep sigh

I saw I'd made her upset, and quickly apologized. 'I'm sorry my lady, truly. I'll never speak of him again, tis like speaking highly of a cockroach.' I grinned, hoping she would show me a smile. 'What can I do for you that will make you feel better?

Margaret turned to him and shook her head "You have no need to apologize, my lord. Everyone asks me about him, recently.." She shrugged and touched his hand again "Your presence here is enough to make me feel better, Francis. Really.." She whispered with a weak smile
