Queen White & King Meric's Chambers

Grimhilda bowed her head.

"Of course," she replied, to her friend.

"I am perfectly fine," she continued, as she touched White's hand," I know we can speak of anything," she said, and smiled. She chuckled at White's joke, and looked down at her feet; then lifted her head, and looked at White again.

Meric approaches his wife´s rooms hastily, happy to see her again in a moment.
He frowns as two guards obstruct his way, then he smiles approvingly, no one can just enter, not even her own husband.
I am her husband, the King of Alderia! he speaks friendly though impatiently, he can´t wait to be with her. While the guard opens the door to announce him, he listens carefully. She is not alone, he hears two female voices inside.

Meric steps inside, he can´t wait anymore and there she is, even more beautiful as ever and he opens his arms as she runs to him and hugs her tightly. He lifts her and runs circles with her in joy, then stops as he reminds the baby she carries and kisses her long and deeply.
Awww my love, you look wonderful, how are you and how is our little miracle? he says smiling, still hugging her while he strokes her long blonde hair.
Finally I was able to come here, it is a long story but I will tell you later, everything is fine at home. Our children send you their love and little Dennise made a drawing for you, I fear I left it on the table though, I was so eager to come here! She will be very angry with me as she finds out I didn't take it with me, I guess. He laughs hearty and kisses her again and again.
My yourney was good, my queen, no problems or delay. I rode all day so I am only a little tired, but I am much more happy to see you and notice you are alright.He holds her face in his hands and looks deeply into her eyes.
I was worried about you, I love you so much! I want us never to apart anymore, not for so long! He kisses her again with love and neccesity.

He smiles happily while she covers him with kisses and kisses her back, long and deeply.
I think she will insist to come here and bring it personally, they will have a hard time to stop her from doing so. He says laughing while he strokes her long blonde hair softly.
I don't need sleep my love, not with you in my arms. Just never leave me anymore, I can't live without you, not a single day! He buries his head in her hair, smelling her delicious perfume and kisses her neck, then walks with her inside the room.
My adventures? Ahh, of course I will tell you, and I also want to hear everything you experienced here at court. Did you have a good time, my angel?

He looks around the room and notices a woman, sitting on a chair. Still holding White's hand, he approaches her and bows deeply.
My sincere apologies, I did not notice you... my name is Meric, nice to meet you.

Grimhilda watched as the two embraced, and slowly stepped back. It was nice seeing some sort of happiness in this wretched world. Surely, in her kingdom their was nothing like this. But, if there was ....she never saw any of it. "Hello King Meric. Tis a pleasure meeting you," she said, happily.

Meric listens to his wife and as she tells him the woman is a queen, too, he kneels before her and kisses her hand.
Excuse me, Your Majesty. I had no idea... He says smiling, standing up again.
Romania? I never had the pleasure to visit the country. I'd like to learn more about it! And I think I need a drink, now. he winks at White.

I see you are having tea, but I would like something stronger my love, I would not deny a wine. He laughs and sits down next to White. Under the table he holds her hand firmly in his, caressing it softly.

Grimhilda looked over at Meric, and nodded. "Yes. Yes I am from Romania. We are a small country. But, we are good to be around," she said, as she placed her chin on her fist. Her eyes moved towards White, and she smiled. "I know my family weren't exactly the most holy people, but I try not to live in the past; I want others to see me as the ruler, and see pass my family history," she said, to them both. She sighed. Thinking of her family made her cringe a bit. But, she lifted her head as White asked her a question. "Yes. Yes I would actually love some wine," she replied happily, forgetting her past.

Meric takes a huge sip of his wine and wipes his mouth.
Ahh... a good wine, my love. Is it an English wine? he asks White, smiling lovingly. He shakes his head.
I can eat later, it is not dinner time yet and I ate on my way here. Cake with strawberries I like, though! He bites into the cake and waits to speak again untill his mouth is empty.

A small country? Well, so is Alderia. Small though peaceful, even though we have our problems at times, especially at our borders. Our past is not so holy as well, my father conquered the crown at the battlefield but died at a very young age. I was only a boy when I became king myself. Strangely enough the people embraced me and accepted me as their king. I don't like to live in the past, too. Anyway, you have to prove yourself again and again as a good ruler, because the collective memory is short-sighted and forgetful. He winks at the two ladies.

How long are you reigning yourself? he asks curiously, caressing White's hand.

Grimhilda gently takes the goblet of wine, and lifts her goblet. "To our countries," she said, as she joined in the cheer. And, took a sip of her wine, and then smiled.

Meric wraps his arms around White when she sits on his lap. He buries his nose in her hair to smell her personal perfume he missed so much while they were aparted.

A great English wine indeed! Cheers to our countries, to the beginning of a long lasting friendship! He says smiling and takes a huge sip.
He softly kisses White's neck and then turns his eyes to the queen of Romania.

Are you here for business matters, your majesty? Or just paying a friendly visit, like we do? He asks her.

"I am here to get something back. Something that belongs to me," she replied, to Meric. Her daughters. Her traitor daughters. A small smirk formed on her face; she imagined finding them, and locking them away forever. She shook her head, and took a sip of her wine. "Sorry....I was thinking of something," she said, to her friends. Grimhilda sighed, and then smiled.

He listens with attention at her words, frowning a little.
Get something back? I don't understand... so you have been here before? Couldn't they just send it to you? He asks curiously and then White drops a piece of cake behind his shirt and he laughs loudly.

Ahh haha, there is nothing to forgive, but you have to find it back, too! It belongs to me! He says smiling and winks.
You should always get back what is yours. Don't you think so, my love? he laughs while White searches under his shirt and kisses her cheek.

He notices a strange expression on Grimhelda's face and holds his breath for a moment.
Are you alright, is something bothering you? he asks her while he eats the piece which was finally found. He rests his head on White's shoulder and looks worried at her friend. He senses something sinister to her and there is a shiver down his spine.

"My daughters," she continued, as she crossed her legs," they are traitors. They have brought me nothing but pain, and misery. They have murdered people, stolen from me, and from the poor people of my country," she said, as she looked down, and rested her hand on her forehead. This was incredibly hard for her to discuss. Sometimes those girls......those girls.......oh she should have kept thme locked away! She sighed softly, and looked at her happy friends.

Meric nibbles White's ear, he missed her so much, but when Grimhelda shares her pain with them, he looks up and focusses his attention on her.
Good heavens! What a terrible situation! Your own daughters betrayed you and they are.... murderers?! he says slowly while he softly caresses White's belly as if he wants to protect their growing child against all cruelty in the world.
I feel sorry for you, you must suffer a lot. Please tell us everything, if you want and maybe we can help you to find them. he speaks sincerely and with compassion.
