Edmund smiled and rested his arms on John's head and grinned at the horse,"Thanks."

I grin at his thanks and when we arrived at the horse I immediately propped Edmund atop it,"Clutch the reins like this,"I say and show him hold to hold it careful,"Hold on with your hands and legs."

Edmund nodded and clutched tightly onto reins-full of the confidence of youth.

I chuckle and take a rope attached the horse's reins,"Right lad,"I say and clap the horse's rump. It neigh's into a gentle trot.

Edmund laughed excitedly,"Go horsey!"

"Hold tight,"I caution,"I asked your mother to come…perhaps you will be riding alone by the time she arrives,"I say playfully.

"She won't come…"Edmund mumbled and stared ahead.

I clear my throat as I see Edmund feels detachment from Jane. I am not surprised, she dotes so much on that little girl.

I glance up and see Jane. I tap little Edmund,"There is your mother lad."

"Ma-Mother!"Edmund called with a smile and waved.

I pick Edmund off his horse,"That's enough for today lad. Go see your mother."

I take the saddle off the little horse and guide it back to the stable,"Your Grace,"I say gruffly and walk past.

Edmund grinned,"Thank you!"he called to John and then bound towards his mother.

"Wonderful mother! I have a white horse and…and Father had one like it and John says I am a good rider and and…are you proud?"he talked excitedly his words spilling clumsily from him.

Edmund smiled,"Can we go back and see Beth. Im starving!"he said.

"I have no breakfast yet!"

Edmund smiled and kissed his mother on the cheek. He then skipped back to the palace.

As me and my husband leave for Wessex I smile at him

As I mount my horse and leave for the south

Thomas give the stabble boy the order to saddle his horse.

He climb on the horse and ride in way south.

As my carriage is packed and loaded I go into it and set off with my lady in waiting
