Dorothy wasn't surprised that he was into books, but the finances was a bit more surprising "Well, men with greater minds aren't more into the usual things like the others." Dorothy says "Be a dear and help me up." she says to a stable hand as she puts an old blanket on the horse. The stable hand boosts her up with hands cupped hands "Ready?" Dorothy says with a wide smile

After the party, William came in the stables to show the horses to Princess Isabella. They were King's gift for her. He had to give her instructions about how to ride them. As he arrived, he saw the two horses there and he approached them. He kept on caressing one of them while waiting for the Princess

Isabella had come to see the horses and when she came to see them she saw her new friend Lord Pennington there "good evening my lord " she spoken politely, she had been proposed a match for a future soon marriage but she couldn't wait to see the horses which we're to be given to her and Arthur the Earl of York.

"oh William the horses are absolutely beautiful. You must thank his majesty for them for me,
if you not mind. " she spoke as she approached one of them after seeing them. She knew well how to ride a horse but of course he didn't know that.

He said with sad voice, hoping that Isabella would not notice he was worried because of Charles's proposal

Isabella was listening to what he told her, she caressed the horse gently and smiled noticing a sadness in his voice when he spoke to her "should not every girl know how to ride?" she smiled at her friend giving him a friendly smile but as she thought of his tone of voice, it sounded concerned and she was quick of a observer of things "you are welcome to help me my lord Pennington, but you must tell me. What is wrong? You seem a bit less cheerful in my presence" she spoke as she climbed on her horse,
letting him guide the horse along as she lightly urged the horse forward. She was making conversation with him while outside with him now.

"you are welcome to talk to me of anything, a friend should be there for one another right? " she remembered how it was her brothers who taught her how to ride but Gustav was always the first to show her anything.

William watched her climbing upon her horse and smiled

He said holding for a moment her hand. After her words he sighed deeply

Your Highness...I hoped you would not notice my mood. After all, I have no intention to bore you with my issues. But..I have talked with lord Brandon at the banquet. He wants me to marry his half sister. And I...I have never seen her. I'm not in love with her. So..I fear I will never make her happy..

He raised his glance towards her

You see, my Lady..after a failed marriage, I fear I will never be happy neither. Especially..

He paused for a moment before continuing his sentence

Especially if there is another woman in my heart..

Isabella looked right at him while sitting on the horse, she listened to his pleading to her of how he never wanted to marry this new woman, it seemed he was scared more then ever to do it, it was something Isabella understood herself although she had never married a single man before and Arthur would be her first husband and only man one day to enter her bed. But hearing that this man had now a woman in his heart she turned her face forward a bit while gripping the reigns of her horse "I never was one to believe in arranged marriages, I hate them actually." she spoken with the truest of words but she looked back at him "My lord Pennington, you sound more frightened to marry this woman. I would advise you explain to the Master Brandon exactly how you feel, if this woman does not care for you and neither you care for her. It may be a loveless and unhappy marriage... but.. my lord, one never knows unless they try." she had kept her composer "and as for this woman in your heart, you must forget of her and perhaps move on. Even as much it may pain you to try, you may find better with this woman intended for you. But if you don't, if the marriage proves that you cannot be happy with one another, divorce is always a option. You will find a way" she then thought on Arthur

"And besides, I am to marry a man I know not. The Lord Arthur, I hardly know him but I am willing to give him a chance, of course he must gain my brother the King's blessing, We are to travel to Warwick Castle soon for the evening alone so my brother may know my future husband better soon. He seems most polite." Speaking of Arthur, it made her feel selfish a bit but she focused on Lord Pennington in a instant

"I won't burden you with talking of this Charles Brandon's half sister, but you must follow your heart and do what is right for you. I would not want you to suffer a life of unhappiness my friend."

I don't think it's so easy, my Lady. Lord Brandon is my Master, so I have to obey. But..I'm happy hearing that you are going to marry sir Arthur willingly. Having an happy marriage is something to wish about. And..about the other lady..it would be better for me forgetting her. That's an impossible love..

He replied looking into her deep eyes

Isabella understood exactly how he felt, he was just as nervous as she was if not more so. But her eyes looked at him "Things will get better for you, but request the Lord Brandon allow you to know this woman first before you agree to it. Having a unhappy marriage isn't something anyone would want but give her a chance my lord Pennington, you may come to like her." she suggested and smiled "As for the Lord Arthur, i'm giving him a chance but it depends on my brother the King. in the end Gustav has to bless the marriage and agree to it, his majesty is a stubborn man and doesn't let just anyone marry me, he also has to secure my own happiness and make sure this Arthur is truly as good a man as he appears to be, that I as a wealthy princess would not be taken advantage of. I can understand my brother's concerns for me. And what more is any child I have would be a Plantagenet, they once ruled England. I'd be nervous to have children, for them to be in danger. Sweden would be the ones supporting the Yorkist line again if I married Arthur, and they would support England too." she stopped herself in a instant

"Perhaps I'm worrying too much and thinking to much into it. I'll marry him, I just need to find the courage to do it." But it wasn't long she remembered what her brother said, the horses and she had to meet him by them, she stopped the horse which she rode on "I should probably have these horses ready for the journey to Warwick, My brother the King will expect us to leave soon with my lord Arthur to his castle at Warwick."

Do you think your children would be in danger because they will be Plantagenet? I don't think the King consider them a danger. They cannot clain England's throne. Especially if Anne Boleyn will give him a son. Anyway..I'm glad you are happy to marry him. I wish you both to be happy..

He added before sighing

And probably..I should give to lady Faith a chance. After all, I know nothing about her. Maybe she is beautiful and sweet. I just fear to suffer again...my previous wife left me for a youngest man..

Isabella hated hearing her friend had been hurt by someone who was suppose to be his former wife, but her eyes turned toward him "And you feel too afraid to give her a chance, this former wife of yours. She broke your heart, and really it's her loss. I'm sorry my lord Pennington, someone had been so unfaithful with you. Any woman would be lucky to have you really, You just have to learn to let your heart love again." But then Isabella thought on this new woman intended for him, she was curious what that woman was like

"But I am curious how lovely this new woman is, you think she might be the prettiest? I mean the Lord Brandon is handsome too, perhaps she is blond of hair or prettier then I am" she chuckles a bit, of course it wasn't hard when she was around to cheer her friend up who clearly enjoyed her company, but little was she aware it was her the Lord Pennington secretly wanted for himself.

I could meet her and talk with her, of course. Probably...as you so wisely are saying, she is very different from my previous wife. Lady Faith is probably faithful and loyal. And since lord Brandon is so popular among women at court, she is also very beautiful..

He chuckled. But he paused for a moment before adding

But..prettier than you? I doubt that. Honestly, I have never met such a beauty in a young lady..

Suddenly he stopped talking, remembering he was talking to a Royal Highness

Well..I don't know, honestly. I hope so. Probably she is the right woman for me..who knows? I just hope to be happy..and to make her happy, of course..

He just replied. After a few moments of silence, he kept on saying

It seem that neither commoners can marry for love. Marriage is just like...a treaty. But I'm glad you'll have a love marriage, my Lady. I'll be happy if you are as well..

Isabella hated nothing more then being thrusted into a arranged marriage, but with Arthur she benefited from it in a way, she had a young potential very handsome to be husband but here was the lord Pennington whom seemed very interested in her "Well if it means anything at all, if I had it my way, you would never have to marry this woman. You I would demand your freedom most harshly for your own sake, I would fight for you to be able to marry someone only you desire, not some girl who you not know." just then she realized just how bold she was behaving, how bold the words she spoke were, she would stand up to Charles Brandon himself but she thought on Lord Pennington's behalf "forgive me, perhaps I'm too brave for my own good." she chuckles a bit and smiled

"If she turns out to be utterly dreadful, do let me know. I'll gladly send her swimming with the ducks" she spoke in a mischievous tone, trying to bring a smile to his face. She had that bubbly personality, perhaps that's why the men liked her so much.

I..I thank you, my Lady. But I fear lord Brandon has already decided. And he won't change his idea. After all, that's natural that he wants the best for his own sister..

He paused. But he wished can say openly that he would fight to prevent her from marrying prince Arthur as well, but he couldn't. He just smiled a bit

And..you have no need to apologize with a commoner, my Lady. You are so..beautiful and attractive, and also so sweet and virtous, that you can say everything you wish without to apologize with anyone. Feel free to tell me everything you wish. I'll try to do the same. If you'll allow me, of course..

He added, since he liked her boldness
