She nodded, blandly and gravely.

Claude's eyes were downcast as she spoke to him,
then gracefully, but slightly reckless, she exited the room.

"He watched her leaving silently. Then he looked at Brigitte, the young girl whom Francis talked about before Claude's arrival. He walked towards door and stopped besides her"

"He whispered. Then smiled at her and left the hall"

When he stopped beside me I blushed and curtsey.

I whispered and smiled back at him.

I had come down to the hall for the feast for the soon to be Queen and as I enter I see my sister and Isabelle there. I go over to them.

"Good evening sister and Isabelle you both look amazing.

I had come for the feast prepared in honour of my sister and whilst I waited for her to arrive I came down to the hall and admired its beauty and I wntered the dining hall where many were gathering.

My ladies had now prepared me for the coming feast and dress in a beautiful purple I headed down with my ladies to the great hall where I was to meet the king at last and I was introduced to the people as I arrived.

I see Isabelle speak and I smile towards her.

"Madame Isabelle you are most welcome of course. How is my dear sister?

I entered the grand hall with Isabelle and I was excited to see the Princess Eleanor. I see my brother and I drop him a low curtsy before turning to Isabelle.

"What a grand feast this is to be Isabelle can you see Eleanor is she here?

I had got myself ready for the grand feast to welcome the princess to France and I was to meet my new bride too. I came down to the great hall as the doors opened I was announced.

"His majesty King Francis". The guard said as I walked in.

I turn to face the door as King Francis enters the hall and I drop into a curtsy as he approached.

"Your majesty I am honoured to meet you" I say before going over to meet the other guests and I met with the group were Isabelle was and who I could only assume was Princess Madeline.

"Good evening Isabelle isn't it? I am most pleased to finally meet his majesty the king you were right what you said he is handsome.

Eleanor smiled at Isabelle then she spoke.

"It is true for I have seen how he looks at me and I do believe that we are right for each other and I hope that we have a happy marriage. She says as she looks towards Princess Madeline.

"Princess Madeline it is such an honour to meet you and I can see that you are growing into a strong young woman. I do hope that we can spend more time together too.

I looked at Isabelle then I curtsied to Eleanor.

"Your Highness I am so pleased to finally meet you and your words are so kind thank you. I would be honoured to be with you more your Highness thank you for the kind offer. I say as I look at her and smile.

I greet Princess Eleanor as she arrived and then bow to my father before smiling across at my sister seeing her so happy. I took my seat at the table next to father and looked around the hall before sitting and speaking with father.

I sat down at the main table at the hall as my son joined me and I looked across at my new bride to be and then I see Isabelle and I give her a signal to approach the table as I wished to speak with her.

Inge joined the Hall to attend the banquet for Princess Eleanor. She came from England, where a french nobleman invited her there. She noticed that the King was there so she curtsied depply before him and his wife to be

I see Isabelle come over and also see her curtsy before me. I look up at her then I speak.

"I see that my daughter has met my new bride I do trust that they are getting on well? How is Madeline's health these days for I know she was unwell last time we spoke? Also there is another matter as I do believe that I have found a match for Madeline with James Stuart of Scotland and it would bring us a suitable alliance with Scotland and I would like you to prepare Madeline to meet him on the day myself and Eleanor are to marry as he will be attending the ceremony can you arrange this?

I had enjoyed my talk with the young Princess Madeline and as I went over to the table to sit beside my husband I saw a young lady approach and curtsy before us. With my husband talking to Isabelle of Guise about some important matter I welcome the young lady to France.

"My lady please forgive King Francis for he is discussing something important and will meet you soon. May I welcome you to France and what brings you here from England my lady? I say to her as I see the Duke of Rohan enter and could only imagine she was with him.

I finally arrived at the hall after a long journey having to take another road due to some trouble and as I enter the hall I could see that Inge was there already and speaking to Eleanor and I approach the royal table and bow to the King and Princess Eleanor.

"Your Highness I am sorry for my late arrival for I had some trouble on the road but I am here now and I see you have met Inge whom I invited. I say turning to Inge and smiling.

Inge smiled towards the Princess and she curstsied again as she saw Monsieur De Rohan entering
