| Catherine walked along the garden enjoying the wonderful view of the castle, and the surroundings it gave her. She had heard of the late princess' tragic death, and thought ever so dearly of how Charles should have been feeling, she sat down on the grass and ran her fingers through it and set her book down, and started learning from it. | |

| Alice walked about the garden, dipping under the low tree brances even though her stature was small. The fresh air out here did her some good, and she was glad to get new breath in her lungs. She stopped when she saw a young lady reading over on the grass. She smiled and thought it only polite to introduce herself.
"I hope this day finds you well. My name is Alice More, what is yours?" She smiled very friendly.

| "I am well thank you Lady Willoughby." Alice smiled at the young woman. "I thought the day was too beautiful to spend indoors, and a nice walk would do well. But I am sorry if I have disturbed you from your reading."She valued education and was glad to see Catherine learning. | |

| Catherine shook her head and closed the book with a smile 'No, you have not disturbed me, i am rather glad of your presence actually' She said as for she hasn't made that much friends around court. | |

| Alice smiled again and motioned to a stone bench. "Shall we sit?" As they are seated she took notice of Catherine's book. "So what title has captured your interest, Lady Willoughby?" | |

| "Let me guess: is it 'Paradise Lost'? I read that when I was your age. I suggest everyone reads it at least once. But I know not everyone shares my love of reading." Alice smiled. "So what do you think of the book so far?" | |

| Margaret had not been outside all day and decided a walk through the gardens sounded pleasing. As she walked she smiled when she saw two ladies talking together and knew she did not know who they were and wished to make their aquaintance."Good day, my ladies. I am Margaret Sheldon. May I ask who the two of you are?" She asked, happily. | |

| "I am glad you are enjoying it Lady Willoughby. And I'm glad to hear of your love of reading. I think too many women, especially at court, are too caught up in nonsense to want to educate themselves!"
She curtsied when another young lady came to them. "Good day Lady Sheldon, I am Lady Alice More, the wife of Sir Thomas More." she smiled politely.

| Alice shook her head sadly. "It is so different, now. Things change so much, especially now the Boleyn family's star is rising." She held back from saying more, as she wasn't sure which side Lady Sheldon took on this matter. "But I do hope you are enjoying yourself here," she smiled at Margaret. | |

| Margaret looked at Lady More. "Yes, I am most pleased with how high up my uncle and cousins have been placed. I am lucky to be of relations to them. I am always enjoying myself, virtuously of course!" She said with a smile upon her face. | |

| Alice smiled. So this was a cousin of the Boleyns. But she seemed unlike them, at least the versions she'd heard. Alice was also pleased to hear that Lady Sheldon spent her time virtuously. That was very much unlike the Boleyn girls. "So what do you enjoy in your spare time? I suppose you tend to the Lady Anne." she tried to smile but remembered how Anne was a welcomer of the reformed faith. | |

| Margaret smiled. Lady More seemed to be a very respectible woman. Margaret was happy to have met someone who didn't pride themselves with talking gossips of her family."I do tend to my cousin, Anne, and I enjoy it. Being her kinswoman, she is harder on me and things that I do. When I am not with her, I spend my free time sowing, reading, and writing the occasional verse. What do you do in your spare time?" Margaret asked. | |

| Alice smiled softly. "I hope that in the future Lady Anne will be a bit kinder towards you, kinswoman or not." She was pleased to hear that Lady Sheldon seemed a virtuous and good woman. If she'd had a son she would imagine a match between him and Margaret.
"I see we have many hobbies in common. I am very fond of reading, myself. Have you written many verses? Perhaps you could do us an honor by telling one?" She smiled and clasped her hands before her.

| Margaret smiled, feeling she will be great friends with Lady More. "Thank you, lady Alice. She only does so because she wants my reputation to be kept pure. As for verses, I have written a few ans would love to share them any time you wish to hear them. What do you wish to hear of right now, every day life or something specific?" She asked, happy to be sharing one of her works. | |

| "It is good that Lady Anne takes such a care with your reputation, dear. Some ladies at court are not so fastidious with their virtue, and their most prized possession, their virginity, is easily lost." she shook her head.
"How about a verse on nature, seeing as it's such a fine day?"

| "I know it is so easy to lose oneself in such a place as where we are now. Anne prides herself with the well-being of all her ladies." Margaret said, talking of her cousin brought joy to her. "A verse on nature? I think I have the perfect one!" she cleared her throat before speaking further.
Dawn blushed – betrayed her waking sky To gently break another morrow fine. Night waned – the black receding – highland Reaching for the early morning wine.
The chorus rendered frantic caws and Chirps and other avian song, Mapping out the 'mine and yours, ' and Goading more to sing along!
Quiescent water – deep of lake – Reflected out the hazy red, but Through the glass, a flick, a break: An urgent tail from hidden bed!
And in the meadow, waking faces Calmly spread a coloured veil; The dew disclosing spider laces – Oft with once a fly’s travail!
Dawn blushed; revealed her inner peace; She handed on another blissful day. Night ebbed, relenting to release of Warming blood that gives to her display.

| Alice listened with rapt attention to Margaret's poem and applauded when she was finished.
"That was lovely! Your time writing verses is well spent, Lady Margaret!" She was naturally impressed with such clarity of thought and artistic viewpoints. "I daresay you could rival Sir Thomas Wyatt himself!"

| Margaret smiled, happy Lady More liked her verse. "Thank you, Lady Alice! Though to rival the likes of Wyatt is an honor you think so." Looks at Lady Catherine and notices the book for the first time. "Lady Catherine, what book is that you are reading?" She asked curiously. | |
