Garden

Catherine walked along the garden enjoying the wonderful view of the castle, and the surroundings it gave her. She had heard of the late princess' tragic death, and thought ever so dearly of how Charles should have been feeling, she sat down on the grass and ran her fingers through it and set her book down, and started learning from it.

Catherine looked at the woman and she curtsied 'My name is Catherine Willoughby, my lady' she said with a small smile and she nodded 'I am well, and you?' she asked.

Catherine shook her head and closed the book with a smile 'No, you have not disturbed me, i am rather glad of your presence actually' She said as for she hasn't made that much friends around court.

Catherine smiled and looked at the book 'Well..this is about an Italian poet called Dante' she said with a smile.

Catherine looked up with a smile 'It is very wonderful, and i must say..i to love reading, my lady' she said with a slight laugh.

Margaret had not been outside all day and decided a walk through the gardens sounded pleasing. As she walked she smiled when she saw two ladies talking together and knew she did not know who they were and wished to make their aquaintance."Good day, my ladies. I am Margaret Sheldon. May I ask who the two of you are?" She asked, happily.

Catherine looked up and smiled 'Hello My Lady...I am Catherine Willoughby' she said with a smile.

Margaret smiled at them both. "I am happy to make your aquaintances. How are you both finding court? I rather enjoy it here." She said.

Margaret looked at Lady More. "Yes, I am most pleased with how high up my uncle and cousins have been placed. I am lucky to be of relations to them. I am always enjoying myself, virtuously of course!" She said with a smile upon her face.

Margaret smiled. Lady More seemed to be a very respectible woman. Margaret was happy to have met someone who didn't pride themselves with talking gossips of her family."I do tend to my cousin, Anne, and I enjoy it. Being her kinswoman, she is harder on me and things that I do. When I am not with her, I spend my free time sowing, reading, and writing the occasional verse. What do you do in your spare time?" Margaret asked.

Margaret smiled, feeling she will be great friends with Lady More. "Thank you, lady Alice. She only does so because she wants my reputation to be kept pure. As for verses, I have written a few ans would love to share them any time you wish to hear them. What do you wish to hear of right now, every day life or something specific?" She asked, happy to be sharing one of her works.

"I know it is so easy to lose oneself in such a place as where we are now. Anne prides herself with the well-being of all her ladies." Margaret said, talking of her cousin brought joy to her. "A verse on nature? I think I have the perfect one!" she cleared her throat before speaking further.

Dawn blushed – betrayed her waking sky
To gently break another morrow fine.
Night waned – the black receding – highland
Reaching for the early morning wine.

The chorus rendered frantic caws and
Chirps and other avian song,
Mapping out the 'mine and yours, ' and
Goading more to sing along!

Quiescent water – deep of lake –
Reflected out the hazy red, but
Through the glass, a flick, a break:
An urgent tail from hidden bed!

And in the meadow, waking faces
Calmly spread a coloured veil;
The dew disclosing spider laces –
Oft with once a fly’s travail!

Dawn blushed; revealed her inner peace;
She handed on another blissful day.
Night ebbed, relenting to release of
Warming blood that gives to her display.

Catherine had been lost in her book, she looked up her eyes sparkling with the knowledge she had just learnt she looked at the two ladies with a small smile.

Margaret smiled, happy Lady More liked her verse. "Thank you, Lady Alice! Though to rival the likes of Wyatt is an honor you think so." Looks at Lady Catherine and notices the book for the first time. "Lady Catherine, what book is that you are reading?" She asked curiously.
