Christmas Party

I curtsy again as King Arthur joins his lady wife, my mind split between going to see His Majesty the King and speaking about the Duke of Norfolk and his treatment of me and going over to greet the the Royal couple from Camelot.

I approach the Duchess of Richmond "Excuse me your Royal Highness but I must collect my thoughts before I approach your Father the King" I curtsy and walk towards the King and Queen of Camelot

While standing beside her husband she saw the lady in waiting coming to her, she had just taken a seat beside Arthur and she looked at the women "is all well my lady" she asked concerned "come sit beside us, you are welcome to" she spoke kindly to her "I hope all is well, although I couldn't help but notice your tears madam" she spoke once more "is their anything you may need my husband and I to assist you with" she offered kindly "we would be all to happy to assist in any needs you may have" she spoke and glanced toward the King of England after as she sat beside her husband Arthur Pendragon the King of Camelot.

I curtsy again "Your Majesty's" I whisper and take the seat that was offered "I thank you for your concern but it is a long story" I look towards the Duke of Norfolk and shiver

Returning to address the Queen I give a faint smile "I fear you would not be able to help me" I explain "I can not go into details but it has made me most unhappy here"

Juana of Aragon the young Queen of Camelot nodded in response "it is the Duke of Norfolk isn't it" she spoke quietly as she was well observed "worry not, you may attend in Camelot, I am sure you may be happier there. His majesty would understand your wish to leave this court of his, their is so much corruption and I must say I've witnessed it myself" she replied honestly.

"you are welcome in Camelot my lady, I will see to it" she spoke sitting there beside the women and smiled. Juana was capable of much more then many realized, she was strong for being a women.

Fresh tears spring to my eyes and I hang my head in shame "Yes your Majesty it is the Duke" I bury my face in my hands as I recall the moment of my arrest and that her Majesty had been present

"I thank you for your support when I needed it the most and I am sorry you had to witness such unpleasantness"

I swallow hard and look towards King Henry and Queen Anne, I have been so proud to have served them but feel tainted by all that had happened. I look at my hands and address the Queen of Camelot "You have been so very kind towards me" I smile as I face her "Your offer of joining you at Camelot is most wonderful, yet I feel that at this moment I must sadly decline as I believe that I have unfinished business here"

I cast my eyes down "I wish to bring justice to myself and other ladies who have been mistreated by the Duke of Norfolk" I whisper

Juana of Aragon looked over at the Lady, Mary Dawn and nodded sternly "the Duke and his family have had a huge part in destroying my cousin, your late Queen" she spoke "I know all too well as she suffers in such a manner, the Duke and his family thrive in the Kings favor" she commented "I know well ambition does go a long way but I must say, I often wonder how long they shall remain in the kings favor." She asked wondering of this and look toward the King and his new bride "how shameful it was when my family was done and cast away in such a manner, even my uncle the King of Naples is most unhappy of this" she told the lady Mary Dawn

"the Duke is a dangerous man, do promise me my lady you will be careful." She spoke "and if you should ever need me, I will assist. Although one must say, a man falls when he is no longer of use to one's King" she spoke and smiled a bit

"ahh yes do take your time, Camelot will always welcome you if you are ever in need of a place to turn to, even that of your friends would be welcome to visit. consider it a sanctuary of some sorts, the Duke of Norfolk, I assure you he is unwelcome in Camelot as is his corruption." She spoke

I take the Queen's hand "Please understand that I can not comment on the King's business especially about his first Queen" I lower my voice to barely audible whisper "She was most gracious and much missed here in court"

I look up and gaze around the Hall, it was true that I had made many friends here but I also knew that I needed some space to clear my head

"I may take you up on your offer one day but I wish for people to see the Duke for his true colours" I smile "but please know I shall always be happy to serve you and your king if you should ever need me"

Katherine Elizabeth walked over to her father and his new wife and curtsy low to them."I wish to speak to you your Majesty?"She asked them.

The Princess of Lohr had arrived in England for the first time and the snow was upon the ground and so beautiful was it to her indeed, Snow White glanced about the room a little lost in her surroundings and her brown eyes glanced about the room while the music play, wearing a blue and gold dress upon her beautiful young youthful body, it adorned her skin with the lace of her gown which the laces was white. Her long ebony hair was pulled back and pinned neatly as she wore a simple crown upon her head as a symbol of royalty. Snow White gendered her eyes at her surroundings but soon turned to a window as she turned to look curiously out the window.

Oh how new she was here and it excited her to see new things although her stepmother hated her greatly she tried to pay her step mother no mind although her mother's wrath was most cruel. Taking a deep breath she stay where she stood and with those Bavarian brown eyes she glanced outside the window at the snow.

Henry had been out in the woods when he sent an invitation by a foreign princess to join him at his father's celebration. He crumpled up the letter between his hand, those kind of entertainments he had detested with a great passion. Still, it wasn't the princesses fault, so he said to the servant "Tell the princess I would love to make her acquaintance,"

Turning his back he carried on chewing the piece of straw between his teeth sliding his knife therapeutically over a long piece of wood he had recently cut from a tree. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

As I seated myself next to my husband, I tried to think of any particular Christmas that sprang to my mind.

"Not one in particular, it was always so busy and my parents were entertaining foreigner envoys."

Royce smiled at the Duke of Norfolk and turned towards Mary Rose

"This is our first Christmas as parents, darling. We started to have something to tell to our children. And this means..that I'm growing old.."

He chuckled and took a sip from wine

"I'm starting to regret coming back here now Royce"

I shook my head in dismay at the scene that were unfolding before our own very eyes glad that our sons were out of the way so nobody could hurt them. I cast a sympathetic look over to Lady Anne no matter what, could she did that over ambitious uncle of hers always found a way to ruin it for her it was exhausting to watch.

"Maybe we can start a new tradition of our own to celebrate with our sons one where no one else knows of and is secret to just us."

Royce looked around. He noticed that Duke of Norfolk and a blonde lady arguing. He shrugged

"Maybe you're right, my darling. This is not an appropriate Christmas's eve. We can leave, if you feel uncomfortable.."

He suggested, leaning softly his hand upon her arm

I placed my hand on top of Royce's turning in my seat to face him.

"We could go exploring for the rest of the evening my love. What do you say?"
