| Thomas nodded
Of course, you can. The Princess needs our prayers. I'll never forget Queen's eyes when she looked at me, before leaving Palace. I just hope that God will forgive Henry for his sins against his loyal wife...
He took a deep breath and looked at Margaret
But tell me, my beloved...how are things between you and Alice? Do you enjoy her company?

| Margaret frowned at her farther she wanted to be their to see the Queen.

| Thomas sighed. He caressed softly her hand
The Queen will live in a private residence far from court. If I'll be allowed to visit her, you will come with me. Otherwise..I'll meet her secretely, with God's help...
He frowned after her sentence
Why do you say that, Margaret? Alice adores you. And she knows that I love you dearly. Do you think she is...jealous?

| 'Will she go back to Wales Why can't she go back to spain or will that cause a war I fear that their will always be a war over this no other king has done this maybe he has gone mad like Henry VI who was married to Margaret of Anjou'
That was wishful thinking on my behalf
'We just don't get along if you were to die Farther I would be without family so don't anger the king I beg of you'

Oh this won't happen, my beloved. I have no intention to anger the King. And...even if something bad will happen to me in the future, I'm sure that Alice will take care of you like a real mother. Margaret...I want you to treat her with respect and affection. Promise me...
He said trying to catch her eyes

| Thomas stood up as she opened the door
All this is ridicoulus, Margaret. Dare you sending me away because of Alice? This...makes me think that something bad happened between you and her. I just wonder why you hide it from me...
He added, shrugging | |

| Margaret grew angry she never got angry at her Farther
'You married 30 days after my mothers death 30 days! That is a month a whole month of grieving before moving on to the former Alice Middleton! How can you still mourn the death of my beloved mother Jane of whom you were married to for seven years had three children when as soon as she was not cold in her grave you seeked out against advice of those dear to you and married! I do not wish to receive the Farther love of you anymore'
Happily she shut the door on her Farther cutting him and the hurt he had bestowed on Margaret at such a young age out of her life for now...

| Thomas got shocked by her reaction. She shut the door suddenly but he held it with one hand and looked straight into her eyes
I don't allow you to treat your father in such way, Margaret! I can't recognize you anymore. What's happened to you? Of course I loved your mother. Her death destroyed me. I was alone with three children. What was I supposed to do? Alice has been at my side. As friend, at the beginning. I decided to marry her 30 days later...to give you back a family. I'll never forget Jane and Alice is not her...I know. But she cares about you. Why can't you see that?
He replied, still shocked for her anger

| Margaret had nothing else to say to her Farther she just wanted him to leave.
'You married for your pure self their was enough family to of helped you! She is not a mother figure to me and she never has been. This just proves that your flesh is weak now leave me alone and go back to playing happy families with a family wrecker'

| Margaret kissed her Farthers hand she had missed their conversations on intellectual subjects.
'Yes a long time indeed. Tell me did the king receive you at the Easter party what did you get him.'
Margaret hoped that their friendship had come back together then they could be rid of the protestant Thomas Cramner.

Yes..he received me and he accepted gladly my gift. As you see, we're still friends, and you have nothing to worry about. But tell me about you, sweetheart: do you still write poems?
He asked smiling and looking at her

| 'I was not worried I just don't like the change in the King that is all.'
Margaret bit her lip and frowned she had not been creative of late to be creative she must be inspired and their was nothing to inspire her right now.
'No I haven't I might write something that I shouldn't. I have a very clouded mind full of disdain.'

| Thomas smiled and nodded slowly
Yes..I know that. But you're very creative. Something will come in your mind, you'll see..
He paused and took a deep breath
Margaret, actually I came to say that I'm sorry for last time we talked. I didn't realize that my actions hurted you. But never doubt of my love, my beloved...never. You're more precious to me than you think...
He said with deep but sincere voice

| Margaret didn't want to talk about what he wanted to talk about because it made her feel sad and they would never agree on this current situation at all.
'You replaced my mother that is unforgivable in my eye's.'
Her tone was cold and mean. He wasn't truly sorry at all

| Thomas took a breath. He looked around room, trying to find the right words to say. Then he turned towards her again
I didn't, Margaret. I never replaced your mother. Alice can never replace Jane...but she was at my side while I was suffering for her death. The love of my life left me...maybe God wanted her with Him in Heaven. And Alice gave me her support. This is simply the truth, my beloved...
He answered with touched voice

| Unlike her farther Margaret was not so blind as to see into the little game that Alice had played a witchcraft of trickery just to marry her farther. Unlucky for Alice the odds were not in her favour as she was old and could not give him any children but she knew a manipulative old shrew when she saw one. If what her farther was saying was truth then he himself didn't know of the love that Alice bore for him before he married her mother it was like a war and Alice had very much won she probably did murder her mother. | |
