'Has you any ladies with her do we even know where she is going too. No I have yet to set my eye's upon your wife since arriving back at court. I do not think she likes me being your favourite'

Thomas sighed. He caressed softly her hand

The Queen will live in a private residence far from court. If I'll be allowed to visit her, you will come with me. Otherwise..I'll meet her secretely, with God's help...

He frowned after her sentence

Thomas shook his head and invited her to sit next to him again

He said trying to catch her eyes

Margaret turned her head away from her farther's eyes no she would promise him no such thing

Thomas sighed shooking his head

Margaret...look at me. Please, promise me that you'll treat Alice with respect when I'll be gone. I need to know that I'll leave you in good hands...

He said, trying once more time to catch her eyes

Margaret did not budge her head

'What makes you think that I will be in such good hands Farther? '

Thomas looked at her even more surprised than before

Why you shouldn't be in good hands with her? She loves you like a daughter. Margaret...what's happened between you and Alice?

He asked worriedly

Annoyed that he wanted to know her hearts inner most feelings, feelings she has always wanted to keep from her Farther standing up she opened the door for him to leave

Thomas stood up as she opened the door

All this is ridicoulus, Margaret. Dare you sending me away because of Alice? This...makes me think that something bad happened between you and her. I just wonder why you hide it from me...

Thomas got shocked by her reaction. She shut the door suddenly but he held it with one hand and looked straight into her eyes

Thomas took a deep breath. He nodded stepping out the room

He looked at her once more time and left

Thomas hadn't talked with Margaret since a while. He missed her,. And above all, he was worried about her. He knocked at her door

Margaret was reading on her bed gripped in her own little world she frowned when she heard of her Farther was at the door.

Shutting her book she placed it under her pillow.

Thomas entered in the room and smiled as he saw Margaret

Margaret! I came to see if you're alright. It took a long time since we spoke last...

He noticed that she had a book hidden under her pillow. But he smiled and sat on bed at her side

Margaret kissed her Farthers hand she had missed their conversations on intellectual subjects.

'Yes a long time indeed. Tell me did the king receive you at the Easter party what did you get him.'

Margaret hoped that their friendship had come back together then they could be rid of the protestant Thomas Cramner.

Thomas smiled tenderly and nodded

Yes..he received me and he accepted gladly my gift. As you see, we're still friends, and you have nothing to worry about. But tell me about you, sweetheart: do you still write poems?

He asked smiling and looking at her

'I was not worried I just don't like the change in the King that is all.'

Margaret bit her lip and frowned she had not been creative of late to be creative she must be inspired and their was nothing to inspire her right now.

'No I haven't I might write something that I shouldn't. I have a very clouded mind full of disdain.'

Thomas smiled and nodded slowly

He paused and took a deep breath

Margaret, actually I came to say that I'm sorry for last time we talked. I didn't realize that my actions hurted you. But never doubt of my love, my beloved...never. You're more precious to me than you think...

He said with deep but sincere voice

Margaret didn't want to talk about what he wanted to talk about because it made her feel sad and they would never agree on this current situation at all.

'You replaced my mother that is unforgivable in my eye's.'

Her tone was cold and mean. He wasn't truly sorry at all

Thomas took a breath. He looked around room, trying to find the right words to say. Then he turned towards her again

I didn't, Margaret. I never replaced your mother. Alice can never replace Jane...but she was at my side while I was suffering for her death. The love of my life left me...maybe God wanted her with Him in Heaven. And Alice gave me her support. This is simply the truth, my beloved...

He answered with touched voice

Unlike her farther Margaret was not so blind as to see into the little game that Alice had played a witchcraft of trickery just to marry her farther. Unlucky for Alice the odds were not in her favour as she was old and could not give him any children but she knew a manipulative old shrew when she saw one. If what her farther was saying was truth then he himself didn't know of the love that Alice bore for him before he married her mother it was like a war and Alice had very much won she probably did murder her mother.
