as i started to wonder off i turn back around and smiled as i head towards the window

Katherine paused at the entrance of the Grand Hall and tugged at her dress. It was a little tight even though she was only a slight and slim figure-but of course this is the new fashion in court. A dangerously low neckline curving over her bosom, a wide skirt pouring around her with a train befitting her station and her long cascading hair as a crown of honey. Katherine suited the fashion and had always been known for her beauty in Suffolk. From the day she was of marriageable age proposals flooded at her. It was undoubted she would be one of the greatest beauties now in court.

She took a few gentle steps forward and smiled in the charming way she did-unaware of the lusty men desiring her already and the women admiring her gown...

I sat at a table with Ursula MIsseldon and eyed up the man who poured us a drink. 'Being bethrothed doesn't stop any harmless flirting. ' I giggled. 'Brandon is now on the market, ahh I made a terrible mistake!'

'I wonder what he is more upset about losing her or the title?' I took a large gulp of wine, 'Look at the nerve of him! Now he's after another princess! He's openly flirting with Princess Cordelia!' Some people at court made me look like a saint!

Katherine took a few more steps forward into the hall after hearing two women furiously gossiping about the Duke of Suffolk. Since he was the duke of her county she felt an urge not to be associated with such slander.
With discretion she glanced to the women behind her and then to the man they were both looking at. Upon doing so she was caught rather off guard by the man. Dressed in all his splendour with jewels embellished on his jacket and a smile playing on his lips she identified the handsome man to be The Duke of Suffolk.

She has never encountered him personally before but when she was a young girl he dined at home on several occasions. Despite the fact she was not allowed to be their as the sup'ed she would peak over the balcony in her home and gaze wondrously at the erudite figure.

"Some poeple at court wisperd that he have duped Princess Magret and she died because
she can not conquer it.The illness was the end of a long martyrdom." Took again a big gulp wine.

I blink at Lady Stanhope.

'Well he can have any old princess he wants but he will never get such a catch as us!' I laughed playfully, then my face turned serious, 'I hope thats not true, the poor woman did not deserve that!' I mused on Ursula's question, 'I do not think men are capable of being loyal, as long as they hide their whores well it does not bother me, I just dont want Edward rubbing it in my face and humiliating me! What do you think of men?'

I take my head near to Anne and wisper " I have hear the King want a devorce from the Queen do you believe that"?

"Charles was talking with a gentleman when he noticed lady Misseldon and lady Stanhope looking at him. He turned towards them and smiled kindly. He also noticed a young woman next to them. He showed her a kind smile too and turned to man again"

Katherine glanced up feeling a gaze on her. It was the Duke of Suffolk looking her up and down her with a kind smile playing at his red lips.
Feeling a surge of colour rush to her cheeks Katherine bowed her head,"Your Grace."

"Charles greeted the man fastly and approached the the young girl. He bowed and smiled at her"

My lady...I'm the Duke of Suffolk, as you probably know, Charles Brandon. I'm glad to meet you...are you new at court?

"He asked with a charming smile"

At his address Katherine bobbed a deep curtsey, her velvet skirt plumed around her,"Your Grace,"she whispered again. A flutter danced in her chest and she rose with as good a grace as any Venetian princess.

Upon rising some courtiers muttered furiously to one another; who was this pretty new thing, why was she talking to the Duke...
Katherine -always unaware of her beauty and peoples admiration- replied in a soft trill,"Yes I did know. In fact I believe my family had the pleasure of dining with you on some occasions in Suffolk...where I travelled from very recently and arrived this morning. I am Katherine Clement."
