Inigo sighed sadly

The Pope has no influence on England anymore. As Head of Church, now the King can get whatever he wants. Including marrying lady Boleyn...

I sit in a pew; reflecting upon the events! Sighing with a faint smile, I fold my hands in my lap and pray. Pray for my husband, my brother and sister, my friends and finally, I pray for myself! And that all these woes will become hope and I will be happy with my dear husband.

I can only grin at her words as we finally made our way to the altar to be joined as one. After a short beginning prayer, the priest brings our hands together and I am the first to speak the vows, I, Prince Philip of Bavaria, do hereby take Duchess Catalina Brandon to be my lawful wedded wife. To have and to hold through sickness and in health, richer and poorer, until the end of my days. All the while, I am looking into her eyes, smiling.

The priest blesses the rings and we exchange them and as we look to the priest, he speaks once more, By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife, Prince and Princess of Bavaria.  You may kiss your bride.. I lean in and kiss her deeply and with passion.  Hello wife...

Cesare slipped into the chapel, cloak over head. He prayed more that no one would see him more than he prayed for anything else. He squeezed into a pew, his legs too tall to fit comfortably and folded his fingers together.

Kneeling before the altar, I gaze up...looking to God for help. "Holy Father, I need your guidance." Folding my hands together, my eyes remain open; glazed with tears. "Lord, help me. How am I to rule a nation? A nation that is not my own, for a little girl I have met but once? How?"
I stand, alone in the chapel, I begin to pace up and down the aisle as my prayer and thoughts merged into one.
"I no longer have Francis to defend me...I am a widow; a dowager Queen. What foreign power will take me seriously? An English princess; raised in France, ruling Navarre. It would be laughable if it wasn't my life." Letting out a small laugh, I smile faintly. "And once more, I am Henry's to give and grant. I am my brother's to offer to whomever he chooses. His to seal alliances in marriage....and I do not begrudge it, I love my brother and will gladly do as he wishes! He is my King!" I stop pacing. Facing the altar, I stand at the centre of the aisle and sigh.
"And yet...and yet, the fate of Navarre rests in my hands. I must defend it for my nieces and my daughter. I must reign over my late husband's kingdom for Juana and Madeleine...and for my darling Elizabeth." Moving towards the altar once again, I kneel and turn my had towards heaven. I gaze up and again, fold my hands.
"Holy Father, I pray that you guide me to be a just and righteous regent. That you help me rule Navarre until my niece is of age and see that my duty is done well for her, my other niece and my daughter. Lord, I also pray that you lead Henry to find a husband for me that can defend and help my adopted kingdom. That you grant his Majesty the ability to find the right man for me and my nation." I release a small sigh. "However, if, in your wisdom Heavenly Father; you cannot lead my brother to find the one to protect me...then guide me to them or whoever can defend my Niece's kingdom."
I stand and while facing the cross that stands upon the altar, I bow my head and curtsey. "I shall do whatever I must Lord, I shall pay whatever price. And I shall be the Queen I am....the Queen, I was fated to be."

Henry joined the Royal Chapel to attend the mass with Anne. He saw his sister Katherine that was already praying, and he sat next to her. He took her hand and smiled. Now that she was a widow, she needed all his affection and support. Then he turned towards Anne. After reaching her hand, he turned his eyes up towards the pulpit. A monk was starting his sermon

Lowering my head as Henry takes my hand, I cast my eyes downwards. "Your Majesty." Offering a small faint smile, I look up and begin to listen to the sermon. Through the Latin and the illustrious imagery, I found myself wondering about my future.

Anne was nervous that day. She had protested by Katherine's supporters while she was coming to chapel. Katherine's supporters were still in the chapel and they were watching Anne. It was not a pleasant situation for her. But if this is a war she would fight.
She sat next to the king and she kept her serious facial expression. She took Henry's hand and she looked toward to monk.

Geoffrey was attending the ceremony in the Royal Chapel too. His task was to follow the King and Lady Anne everywhere to insure their safety. So he sat behind them. King's sister was there too. But there was tension in the Chapel, cause Queen's supporters were there too. The King looked calm, but Lady Anne looked nervous. As the monk started the sermon, he turned his eyes towards him

"We thank for His Majesty's reign. And we ask God's blessing upon him and upon his people.."

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

"But in this holy day we're forced to say that some prayers of these days made by Your Highness, are too much similar to ones of Acab's days.."

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

"In which the mouths betrayed a false and mendacious spirit. Their one is the Gospel of lies! Who is not afraid to speak of licenses and freedom for the sake of monarchs! Who no Christian King should never dare to contemplate!"

While the monk was talking, Geoffrey glanced at the King and Lady Anne to see their reaction. People in the chapel started murmuring

Anne shocked by the monk's words. Everyone was murmuring and Anne was angry. She nervously clenched her teeth.

Henry looked at the monk with threatening eyes. Not only he was mentioning him openly. But he was also comparing him with a biblical King, known as a sinner. He noticed Anne was nervous. So he squeezed her hand and decided to remain calm ignoring people's murmuring. He didn't want to make her upset because of a fool monk!

Geoffrey noticed that the King and Lady Anne were very agitated. He glanced around Chapel to see if Katherine's supporters were having a reaction too. For a moment he feared an uprising in the Chapel. But the monk continued his sermon

"I beg Your Highness to be careful, do not follow the path that you seem to take!"

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

"Or you'll end for sure like Acab, who married the whore Jezabele! And you'll make surely his unhappy end!"

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

"The dogs will lick your blood, like Acab's one! God forbid it and may he wants to prevent this to happen!"

He was now shouting. Some guards came and grabbed him, forcing him to get down his pulpit, among  shouts and confusion. The whole chapel was rebelling against him. Geoffrey stood up immediately, in order to be ready to protect the King, Lady Anne and Lady Katherine who was sitting with them

Henry looked at Anne. He was very angry this time. That man compared her to a biblical whore in front of everyone! He bit his lips trying to control his anger. In the meanwhile, guards were removing him from the pulpit

Thomas came back from Scotland. As he joined in the Chapel, he noticed that things at court got worse during his absence. There was so much tension in the air. He looked at the monk with sad eyes. That man was telling the truth, but he was treated like a traitor

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

He looked at the King. He knew him very well, and it was evident that he was very angry. He sighed deeply lowering his eyes

Margery had snuck into the back of the church to show her support to Anne. At the back everyone felt so cramped in and overcrowded. She kept her focus on Anne as the preaching continued this was a second attack on Anne first the game cards and now this. Margery hoped that their marriage would happen quickly. In a kind of sordid way Margery hoped that the man preaching would be tortured maybe even cut out his tongue.

Unable to watch, I can barely contain my grief at such an awful thing. A man of God dragged from the pulpit. Once it had been unthinkable for such a thing to even be suggested; but now...now, it was happening in my presence. Swallowing back my horror at the monk's treatment; I release a gentle sigh. Even after all Henry's determination to divorce his queen and the uproar that it caused; Lady Anne had always been friendly and polite towards her...she was no biblical whore, but what had happened in the chapel royal shocked me and from the pit of my stomach; I felt a rising sense of fear.

Geoffrey noticed that Lady Katherine was very scared and shocked for what was happening in the Chapel. He came immediately close to her to reassure her

Your Highness, please remain calm. No one can harm you. Just stay at my side. I'm going to escort you, His Majesty and Lady Anne towards a secondary output. You will be safe..

He added with a friendly smile, offering her his arm
