Alfonsina Garcia's Bedroom

Margaret smiled again shrugging a bit "Maybe you are right. But don't lose hope. Look at me: I was desperate after your brother left me. I thought I would never met love again. But I met my Anthony and he asked me to marry me, accepting my past.." She took a breath "You look tired. I think you should rest a bit. I will go in the next room to feed Rinaldo. But I will be back to you this evening, to brush your hairs.." She said smiling brightly

She smiled.

"So.. You will be Margaret Lee then? I am so happy for you."

After Margaret's offer , Alfonsina realized that she was really tired. She nodded and started to talk.

"Yes I am , actually. Thank you , Margaret."

Margaret smiled happily "Yes, hopefully I will be. And you will come to my wedding, this time.." She squeezed her hand and stood up "Have rest, Alfonsina. I will be back later.." She curtsied before her and with a friendly smile she left the room

After having found Alfonsina's son, Margaret came to her chamber in the evening, as promised. She gave Ariadne to another lady in waiting, and she told her to wait in the next room until she was told to come out with the baby. She thought it would be a shock for Alfonsina seeing immediately the baby. She needed to talk with her, first. So she took a breath and knocked at the door "Alfonsina..may I enter?"

She was brushing her hair when she heard Margaret's voice.

"Come in , Margaret."

She said with soft voice of her.

Margaret entered in the room. She smiled when she saw Alfonsina and she came closer. She removed the brush from her hand and she started to brush her golden hairs "Alfonsina..I need talking with you. There is..a beautiful news for you. And if you believe in miracles, I think a miracle is just happened in your life.." She said smiling, watching her through the mirror

She got curious after her words. She realized that she missed talking with Margaret while she was brushing her hair. She asked with curious eyes.

"What is it , Margaret?"

Margaret stopped brushing her hairs. She leaned the brush next to mirror and she lowered herself on her knee. She wanted to be closer. After a short silence, she smiled and started to talk "I know that what I am going to say can seem...incredible. But it's the truth and I can prove it. It's about..your first son, Alfonsina. Little Ariadne.." She smiled but immediately she took her hand to control her reaction

She looked at her eyes for a second. What could happen to her dead son? And why was Margaret smiling while she was saying this.

"What happened to my dead son? I can't understand.."

She asked with a soft voice.

Margaret took a breath. She didn't know how to explain it, but she tried "Your son is not dead, Alfonsina. He is alive. Someone stole him from you. You were told that he was dead..but it was not true. I found him.." She said happily but also calmly, noticing that Alfonsina was becoming pale every second. And her hand was so cold

Every words that Margaret said made Alfonsina look paler. She couldn't think. She felt that her brain was completely helpless.

"Where is he?"

She could barely speak. She didn't believe he was Ariadne because she couldn't imagine who could do such a bad thing.

Margaret noticed her emotion. She felt her eyes filling with tears while she was talking "I was in the forest with Anthony. Your Anthony. Suddenly a woman approached us. I met that woman in the Tower, but she was your governess when you were in Geona, during sweating sikness. Ariadne had a fever, so she stole him from you, because she couldn't have children.." She took a breath. This story was so touching, so she had to dry her own tears. But after that she smiled again "She..she couldn't live in this way anymore. So she gave me the baby back, knowing that I am your lady in waiting. Anthony and I were shocked. I...I brought him here, Alfonsina.." She said with happy but trembling voice

She didn't know what to do , feel or say.

"Can I see him? Is he okay? Oh , he must be six years old by then."

She was wondering if he would remember her.

Margaret nodded with a bright smile "Yes, he is a beautiful 6 years old boy. Wait.." She stood up and she went to open the door of the next room, where the lady in waiting was hidden with the baby. She told her to leave. She took the baby's little hand smiling sweetly, and after few seconds she came out with Ariadne. Tears of joy were falling on her cheeks "Ariadne, honey..she is your mom. She loves you so much.." Ariadne at first hide himself behind Margaret's skirt shyly. But when he looked at Alfonsina, the little boy started walking slowly towards her

When Alfonsina saw little blonde child behind Margaret's skirt , she couldn't help herself crying.

"Oh dear God.."

Then her little son started walking towards her. She held his tiny hands and hugged him tightly. His smell.. Alfonsina thought she couldn't be much more happier in her life.She was smiling to Margaret while tears were coming down her face.

Margaret was crying too. She watched Alfonsina hugging finally her son after so long time and she smiled happily among tears. She came closer to them "This is a miracle, Alfonsina. That woman..her name is Rebecca, took care of him. Maybe she shouldn't disappear suddenly from the baby's life. You..you could allow her to visit him here at court, sometimes. In your presence, of course.." She suggested. But she noticed that Alfonsina could barely think, having her child in her arms again "And now Rinaldo has a brother to play with.." She giggled, looking at Ariadne's cute face

She shook her head calmly. She didn't want to be angry with that woman right now.

"I can't allow her to see my son anymore. If she comes to the court again , I want you to let me know."

She said with a soft voice and was still hugging Ariadne.

Margaret dryed her tears and she nodded "As you wish, my lady. Your son is the most important thing, now. He is finally in his mom's arms.." She felt very touched by this story. She caressed Ariadne's blonde hairs smiling, while Alfonsina was hugging him

She smiled to her.

"Yes he is finally.. I still can't believe."

Then she stopped hugging and looked at his son's eyes. Then Ariadne started to talk.

"Are you my mom?"

After this questions she looked at Margaret then she again looked at his son.

"Yes I am.. You were away from me but now I have you."

Margaret looked at little Ariadne smiling sweetly "You will be very happy here, honey. Your mom loves you. And you also have a little brother. His name is Rinaldo. You will have fun playing with him.." She said. Ariadne looked at Alfonsina with a confused but happy face "A brother? Is this true, mom? And can I share my toys with him?" Margaret giggled hearing his questiion and she looked at Alfonsina

She laughed after her son's question and kissed him on the cheek.

"You will not only share your toys with your brother but also everything. I am sure you'll watch each other's back my one and only."

Then she looked at Margaret.

"Can you take and meet him with his brother Margaret? So I can speak to Anthony about this situation?"

I was on the way to Alfonsina's room, I knock at her door and wait for her to show.

Margaret nodded looking at Alfonsina "Of course.." She looked at Ariadne, and smiling she took his little hand in his "Would you like to meet your brother Rinaldo and playing with him, honey? Come, he is waiting for us.." Holding the baby's hand, she curtsied before Alfonsina and walked towards door. Once she opened it, she saw Anthony standing there "Oh..sir Anthony! You may enter. I was just leaving.." Ariadne looked up at Anthony a bit confused. But after caressing his blonde hairs, Margaret curtsied again and left the room with him

While Ariadne and Margaret were leaving , Anthony was about to come in. Alfonsina smiled widely when she saw him.

"Oh , Anthony! Welcome.. "

She turned to Margaret and Ariadne again.

"Thank you again Margaret and my dear boy I will see you soon."

She came closer and put a kiss on his head. Then she welcomed Anthony and pointed a sofa to sit.

"I am happy to see you here after all this time. Would you like to drink something?"

I see my handsome son and I smile at him, and he smiles me back, what a lovely child. Then seeing Alfonsina kissing him it is a gift for my eyes.

"Sure, I am at you service my Lady" and I sit
