Francis Bryan's Bedchamber

Mary snuggled up close to him still breathing hard but with a look of contentment on her face. She ran her fingers over his arms as she spoke softly, "You want me here then here I shall stay. There is no where else I would rather be."

He grinned.

I wonder if I will get any sleep whilst you're in my arms, dearest.

Mary leaned up to look into his eyes and laughed then grinned back at him, "if we get no sleep it is your fault. You have corrupted me and now I want more and more of what only you can give me." She leaned down to kiss his lips then ran her fingers down his hair.

Oh is that so, my lady?

he asked, grinning as his eyes hungrily purveyed her body.

Mary grinned back at him loving this side of him and she laid back on his bed with her arms under her head. "Yes that is so, did you really want to sleep? Or....more of what we just did?"

Francis walked into his bedchambers with the lady Ursula and he smiled "Please, go near the fire, it will warm you up."

" Thank you " she said as she walked over to the fire looking around his room, it was very clean and well kept, she took a seat next to the roaring fire.

Francis poured two goblets of the mulled wine and he brought one over to her and handed her it "Here you go."

" Thank you " she said and took the goblet of wine and took a big sip, the warmth of the fire and wine made her feel alot warmer. I removed his cape and handed it back to him. " your cape kept me very warm thank you ".

He took the cape from her and he hung it up "You're welcome, being the gentle man as ever." he said and he smiled before turning back "So, do you like chess?"

" I have never played, could you teach me? " She said.

He raised an eyebrow at her and he nodded with a smile "Of course." he said and he took out the chess board and set it on the table "Although, I have a question..Can you let down your hair?"

" Yes of course I can " She slowly took out her hair grips and her long hair fell down from her head. I shock my head a little and smiled up at Francis " like this? ".

Francis bit his bottom lip and nodded "Yes..like that.." he mumbled and he reached out and touched her soft, delicate locks before smiling and taking a deep breath.

As he reached over and touched my hair I took a deep breath in, his soft touch made me quiver. " So how do you play chess?" I smiled at him, you will need to show me very slowly.

He looked at her before looking at the chess board "Well, it is quite simple." he admitted "Chess is a game played between two opponents on opposite sides of a board containing 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player has 16 pieces: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, and 8 pawns. The goal of the game is to checkmate the other king. Checkmate happens when the king is in a position to be captured and cannot escape from capture."

I smiled at him and bit my bottom lip "being captured by you would not be so bad" I laughed a nervous laugh. "I am a quick learner let's play.

Francis smirked at her and he raised an eyebrow "You wished to be captured by me?"

" I am not so easy to capture " She said with a smile. " Do you have anymore wine please? before we start the game. "

Francis took a deep breath and grinned "But I do love the chase." he whispered to her and he nodded as he took the pitcher of wine and poured some into her goblet.

"Thank you " she said as he filled up her goblet. She relaxed a little more into the chair. " do you travel alot for the king? ".

Francis nodded at her and he took a deep breath "Indeed I do, although most of it is also for my benefit too."

She smiled at him, she looked at the chess board " So who goes first? ".

Francis remembered how his wife was home from Lisbon and he sighed "Forgive me." he said and he sat down his goblet "But I believe that I must go visit my wife, it has been a while since I was last in her company."

Ursula sat down her goblet and rose to her feet " Yes of course you need to be with your wife " She walked to the door and turned around. " Thank you for keeping me company and sharing your wine with me ". Ursula opened the door and walked out shutting the door behind her.
