Emilie enter the hall with Olympe, holding her hand in hers and look at the amazing immense taspestries, wooden ceiling and stained glass, smiling, the beauty of the place and her daughter's compagny making her forget her sadness from her recent rupture, she whisper to her daughter.
The little girl rise her head for look around her with a smile on her cute face and answer her.
Oui c'est beau, maman.
Emilie giggle in hearing her daughter's clear voice and caress her cherubic's thin blond curls.

You're here again, after a long time?"
She said with a suprised voice and bowed deeply.

Nan listened his words curiously. Then she looked at the dancers, she shrugged and took a little sip from her wine.
"Many things. Nothing worth to talk about."
She smiled slightly, glancing at him. Then she took another sip from wine

Margaret entered the great hall and admired the beautiful wooden panelling and the ornate carpets. She nodded friendly at people she came by. Suddenly her attention was drawn to a beautiful lady who was walking with a charming little girl. She spoke French to the child! Margaret approached them careful.

Bonjour Mesdames!
She smiled friendly though it hurted a little to see them together. If her only child had lived, she would also have been a mother, perhaps even a grandmother by now.

George let Nan walk off with his sister. He cared nothing of their gossip. He walked around then spotted his other sister Mary. He had not seen her in quite some time. He walked up to her. "Enjoying ourselves are we?" he asked in an snobbish tone.

[b]Emilie, impressionned in realizing that she talk to a queen, courtsey and smile to her, blushing slighty, amazed by her excellent level of french, she put a hand on her daughter's shoulder.
She glance to her daughter and gesture to her.

Margaret giggles as Emilie courtsey and calls her a queen.
Mais non, I am no queen, lady de Fontanay! An archduchess, a regent and also the daughter of the former Emperor Maximilian... but no queen!

She looks at the lovely Olympe and smiles at her.

She looks again at Emilie and continues in English.
How wonderful you teach her French though you live in England. And she is a very lovely girl, you must be very proud of her!

Jonathan entered the Great Hall. There were a lot of people around and he recognized only few faces. He scouted around; looked at two talking blondes with a little girl near them, then at a man talking to a woman in dark curly hair. He also noticed a long-haired brunette with another woman leaving the hall and looked at crowd again.
This can't be happening...
Muttered silently.
Where can she be... So many women around...

Emilie blush at her mistake, feeling slightt shameful and angry with herself for don't knowing better the royal family of Europe's members and their names, she giggle a bit nervously.
Oh, I am sorry, but I wasn't far, since you are a archduchess and a regent, you are nearly of as high rank as a queen, anyway I am shameful to don't know better royal families of Europe's name, if I did, I wouldn't had make this error. Myself I am a countess by my mother and so is my daughter too and I have half royal blood, since my father was the late king of France, Louis XII.
Olympe look at the pretty blond lady with her big eyes wide opened with curiousity and smile to her, loving the kind air on her face and the attention that she give to her, she is a so little girl that many people ignorate her while she like to talk to people that she cross, she concentrate well on what the lady tell her, she don't understanding the word "bilingue", but she answer her nicely, for showing her that she is a big girl.
Bonjour, madame, oui c'est bien.
Emilie look at Margaret talking with Olympe with a tender smile on her lips, guessing that her daughter don't understand the complicate word, but do her best for show well that she isn't a baby anymore, then she answer her.
Yes, I am so proud of her, she is an adorable little girl and I am amazed that she yet talk so well in both french and english, even if of course, she understand and can say only simple words and sentences, she is eager to learn ! and she love books.
