Living Room

Sybille made her way to see king Richard she had not seen him since the Christmas ball and wondered how he was. King Richard it is your favourite courtier Waiting patiently she wondered about a few things.

Richard stood up from his armchair as he heard a familiar voice. He smiled warmly once he saw Sybille at his door

Sybille! My dear..please, come in. No need formalities here. I'm..very happy to see you. How are you?

He asked, showing her a sit

Shrugging Sybille walked in and sat on the edge glad to notice that he looked the same not less handsome but just the same. Oh well I have kept myself busy. How about you? Are you ready to become a farther it must be indescribable feeling Yawning sheepishly Sybille rested her hands in her lap.

Richard smiled. He took her hand and kissed it gently

You look beautiful as always, dear Sybille. I apologize for not having danced with you at the Party. I usually keep my promises..but you know, my guests required my presence. Please, have a sit next to me. I admit I'm enough nervous at the idea of becoming father, but also very happy. Some wine?

He asked in the end, leaving slowly her hand

Sybille felt her fingers run against his hand and smiled. Yes I know you do did your guest feel more at home. Taking a seat next to him she declined the offer of wine looking around his living room. Richard poured wine for himself only, since she declined his offer. He smiled and came back on the sofa sitting at her side

He smiled again and took a sip from wine

Sybille turned to face him. I do like this ordinary side to you Richard.. Your niece to be honest I had no idea you had siblings I always thought it was simply you as one is enough to make anyone happy Sybille took hold of his wine taking a sip swirling it around her mouth. Richard tasted deeply his wine. He smiled for her suggestion about wine. But her last words caught his attention

Really? And..who is this silly man, Sybille? Only a blind man could ignore you. Don't tell me you're talking about John Frederick..

He added with a playful smile. He was not leaving his eyes from her, curious about her answer

Sybille pouted raising her eye's with amusement. No I have yet to meet John Frederick but it seems that my own king has been blind then does it not. She looked at him wondering what he was thinking. If what I feel ruins what ever bit of friendship we have then I am sorry for that although I do not want to apologize you can't help who you take a liking too

Richard was staring at his glass while she was talking. He smiled after taking a breath

Actually, I already knew about your..affection for me, Sybille. I still can't read in women's eyes. And yours are too much sincere lo lie. So no..this won't ruin our friendship. I'm so very flattered and happy to hear that..

He turned his eyes to her and with his hand reached hers. She was cold and he noticed she was shaking a bit

Sybille didn't know what to say but this still felt like no weight of her. I am glad we can still have our friendship. She placed her hand on his noticing how warm it was. Oh..but of course. I don't mind at all, dear. If you're cold, you can find something warmer to wear in the next room. In the meanwhile, I light a fire in the fireplace..

He brushed softly her white hand with his before letting her free to make herself comfortable

Sybille went and found something more warmer one of his furs I think this will suit me fine its one of your furs Sitting down she watched as the fire started to blaze up

Richard stood up and started to light a fire. He was still watching the wood burning in the fireplace when Sybille's voice made him turn his head. He opened his mouth when he saw her with her new outfit

Sybille...this surely suits on you. You take my breath away, actually. Would you come closer? Fire will make you feel warmer..

He said, inviting her at his side next to cheminy

One does not spend that much company upon mens company His words made her jolt up gripping his chin hard turning his eye's to face her eye's inside she implored him to tell her enough of this merry dance they were leading each other in. Richard cupped her face with his strong hands. Looking into her eyes, he sighed deeply

After a minute of silence, he left her slowly and turned towards fireplace again

Sybille felt as if her world had now been crushed merely by a couple of words she quickly made haste standing up. Richard stood up
