Anna Stafford's bedchamber

Anna looked at her daughter frowning " Catalina we love you so much but this is outragous how can you let yourself go like that ?"

She felt Charles hand hold onto hers she strokes his palm gentally with her thumb.

Standing outside, I nervously try to make my mind up! Should I knock or should I not? I wanted to see my mother but I was anxious about it. I had always been the delicate child! Gentle and in need of care and protection....Now I was a woman; would my family still see me as that baby in need of defending?
Taking a deep breath, I knock...and wait for her to respond.

As to continue our conversation with Charles about dear Catalina. I will stay here. I feel so distraught about her. I know that she will take the news of Phillip with sorrow and there is nothing that will console her except perhaps time. Even that will not take away all of the pain that she will feel. What of the child? I truly fear how things will go. I and Charles tried to teach her about how to respect herself, but she felt that she loved him. So she gave herself to him and left to get married hurriedly and with haste. Our dear sweet Catalina you will be well, I promise.

*I walked silently back to my bedchamber after I left Charles. I am glad that we had talked about Catalina and I knew that he will find her. So I know that at least for tonight I can sleep.

Victoria came upon the door of Anna Stafford, so she decided to knock

* Not expecting anyone at my door I open and saw Victoria Brandon* Hello Victoria

"Lady Stafford." Victoria does a quick dip "I hope I'm not being rude coming here unexpectedly" she says as she walks in

You are not bothering me I was just reading Lady Brandon would you like something to drink

"No but, thank you" Victoria smiles as she sits on a chair "I came here because I've been wondering about your youngest daughter, Margaret."

Victoria why do your wonder about Margaret. Did something happen "she asked as sip some wine"

"I know I shouldn't stick my nose where it doesn't belong but, I would like to know about her education." Victoria says "Not too long ago, I asked if she is being tutored in anything that might or will be useful when she takes a husband in the far future."

I have educated her as well as her going to France to be educated. But I thought that the King gives his approval about marring a man who is up to her standards. I have also asked for the King to assist me in finding a suitable husband. But why do you ask is there something that you know that would bring a problem with a marriage.

"I just want to know if she had been taught a foreign language or how to play at least a musical instrument." Education is important to Victoria when it comes to her little stepsister "Would you want your future son in law to think that she isn't bright. I just want the best for that young lady."

Thank you for being interested in Margaret's education and your step-sister. You don't have to worry about that. She has been taught in several languages and instruments. She will be an jewel to any man who is lucky enough to marry her. Charles will make sure that she marries someone who is up to his standards as a husband and any man who is not will not be able to marry Victoria will not be with her.

"Really?" Victoria raised an eyebrow "When I spoke with Maggie about what she has been learning, she told me that she has not learned one foreign language or learn how to play music." She wonders if Lady Anna thinks that Victoria thinks if Maggie won't be bright enough for her future husband

Victoria how dear you. She is bright enough for a husband. You have the nerve to come to me and tell me this. Wait till I speak to your father and let him know what you have said about our Margaret.

Victoria's eyes went wide"Of course she is bright. I would like her to learn those things just to be on the safe side if a gentleman expects a bit more from her." She calmly rises from her seat like a proper Duchess "I'm not forcing anything. As a mother myself, I would want what is best for her."

Well Victoria if you are so worried about her education and you think she may not be *bright enough?*. Perhaps you may take her on as your pupil. I believe that being so educated as yourself in the ways of being a proper duchess you can teach her properly. I am sure that Charles will give his approval. I am leaving Whitehall and going to Buckingham so I can leave her education in your capable hands. I will write to ask about her how she is doing or you may do the same and Charles is near he would love to hear how well she is doing. So thank you for your concern for your dear step-sister Margaret I am sure that she will love it too.

I knock gently on Anna's door hoping she home, I had heard rumors that she was leaving court and I wanted to talk to her before she left. Anna it is me Margaery.

*I heard a knock at the door* Maraery come in I am surprise that you came to visit. What is the reason for your visit. *she offered her something to drink*

I open her door as she spoke and walked in. Thank you for seeing me Anne, I had heard rumors around court that you are leaving and I wanted to see how you were. I remove my red cape and place it gently on a chair. Thank you I  would like some wine if you would join me.

*I poured her some wine along with myself.* Yes it is true, I am considering leaving court. I feel the need to leave. To many painful memories. I have not completely decided where I will go but I know that I must leave. But I thank you Lady Maraery for coming to see how I am and inquire about me. Has everyone heard of this I hope that it is not going around court. I don't want my children to hear before I have a chance to talk to them. *gave a hug* Thank you caring about me.

Taking a goblet of wine I listen as she spoke, I could hear the sadness in her voice, I hug her back and take a seat.
Do not worry about others Anna people whisper, that is why I came to see you and to see if it was true, and to try and make you stay. I said with a kind smile.
Tell me what bothers you, I am sure you could use a good friend.

*smiles to seem happy* Charles said that I should not listen to whispers of people. I was not responsible for my father. But I must leave. If I stay I will go mad and even if I go for a short while I know that I must leave. It is too much and I cry to myself every day in my chambers and I wonder why do I stay here in this lonely place. I am so glad that I have someone to at least come to see how I am without it being an emergency. *a little tear ran my face*. Plus having five children to care for can be daunting. So if only to clear my head and my heart I must go or stay only in my chambers *smiles jokingly at what I just said*.
