Francis Bryan's Study Room

Inigo was walking along corridor, bringing some papers. He reached sir Francis's study room and knocked at the door

Sir Francis...may I come in?

He said with his spanish accent

I'm at my study when I hear a knock and someone with a Spanish accent. Curious, I answer the door and see Ambassador Mendoza.

"Ah, senor.. Please come in." I take notice of the papers in his hand.

Inigo walked into room and bowed

I'm sorry to disturb you, sir Francis. But I'd like talking with you. If you have a moment...

He said looking at him

"You're not disturbing me. Of course we may speak awhile. Would you care for a drink?"

I am so very curious to what he is going to say.

Inigo smiled and nodded

Yes...I'd love to. Very kind of you. Gracias...

He answered with a smile while sitting on a chair

I pour him a small glass of cool water and hand it to him.

"I hope you don't mind, I don't drink wine while I'm working. So, how may I help yoi, Ambassador?" I ask as I take some water and sit across from him.

Inigo took the glass from his hands and smiled gratefully

Oh...water is enough for me, my lord. Neither me...I don't drink while working. Bueno...as you know, I am relative to Queen of Bavaria. Or better...the furure Queen Eleanor is my cousin...

He started to explain, looking at his curious expression

I nod as he tells me of his cousin. "I heard you were related." I give another quizzical look. "I hope she is doing fine.."

Inigo nodded kindly and smiled

Claro que si, my lord...she is. And you probably heard about her coronation in Bavaria. Bueno...my dear cousin wishes having an english representative at such important event for her. And since King Henry is so busy with his big matter...I was wondering if you would accept to come in Bavaria next month...

He explained with quiet voice, holding his glass of water

"I'd be honored to bear witness to such a glorious event for Bavaria," I say, my expression relaxing a bit. "I am humbled that I was chosen for such an honor. But, I hope I am not rude in asking, why me?" I wondered if there was anything more that would be asked of me, though I was already very glad to be going to visit another court.

Inigo smiled, amused by his reaction

Oh...my cousin Queen Eleanor wants a representative person of english court. And you're one of men more close to the King. Also, I heard you've been a good diplomatic, in the past, sir Francis...if I'm not wrong...

He answered, noticing that probably Francis feared some message from Emperor, instead from his cousin

"I'm pleased you've heard such good things about me, Senor Mendoza. And I shall of course be happy to represent England and my king." I leaned back in my chair and smile. "¿También estará presente en la coronación de su prima?" I switch casually to Spanish one of my many fluent languages,

Inigo smiled, amused by his switching the conversation to spanish. He nodded proudly

He answered, rather surprised he knew so well his language

Inigo nodded after listening him carefully. He took a sip from water and smiled
