Olympe take one of her dolls, Lucy, in her arms and join the bench where her mother and Mary are sat and she sat on the free space between them, the doll on her laps, she have hear what they was telling, without understand everything. She is a bit confused about her mother's words about Armand, starting to doubt also that he will really come back to them or not, but happy to learn that Mary will get married, she look at her and ask her with curiousity.

Emilie smile after her words, feeling happy that her friend keep good memories of her short period of life with her father, then she grow serious again.
I know, I will be strong, whatever will happen. You know, I am not sure at all that he will come back to , but anyway, I can only wait and see indeed.

Yes, I know and I am very glad to have both you and her, you are the persons in whom I can count on the most, I know it, and I have my beloved daughter too, so I can't be unhappy.
She sigh, growing serious.
It just ... I thinked to get married soon with the man I love and start a new life in Italy and now I doubt it will ever happen, since he is totally absent of my life since his departure nearly two years ago, aside for two letters and I am like a single, aside that my heart is taken.
She smile again in listening to her daughter talking with Mary.

Olympe is a bit disappointed while a second since she did imagine that Mary being a princesse, she would marry a charming prince, like the princesses of the fairytales that her mother, grandmothers and nanny read to her. But she fastly change her mind and recall, her mother having tauch her about court's etiquettes and tittles, that duke or duchess is just under prince or princess in rank of nobility and she grow curious about this man and feel thrilled about maybe encounter him soon.
A duke ! it's very high nobility too ! I hope to can encounter him.
She smile and ask her curiously.
How is him ?, is he kind ?

Yes, it's exactly that, but what hurt the most is to feel that I have lost the man I love, whom I think to be the man of my life, the one and only one with whom I could marry, have children and start a new life ... I know that he may come back, but more time advance, more I lost hopes, dreams and trust.
She raise her glance and look at Mary and tell her with a sincere tone, smiling sadly.
Anyway, thank you to be there for listen to me and trying to reassure, your kindness and friendship is a great comfort for me. Alas, nobody can do anything about it, aside him of course ...

Olympe listen at her and she reflect, surprised by her words about nobility, especially since she is a princess, because having spend a big part of life since her birth at court, she know how important nobility and social rank are important, at last at court. But she also find that Mary is right about future husband's qualities are very important and even essentials for make a good marriage too and that it's would also be important for herself if she had to marry.
I think that you are right, it's important that he is kind too for marry with him. But tittles are very important at court !, all the etiquette that we all have to respect at court is about it !
She enumerate slowly the most important rules of court, proud to show to Mary all that she know.
Everyone must courtsey or bow before the king or the queen and never turn my back to him or her and never talk the first but wait he or her adress me, I have to courtsey before someone of higher rank than me and this person hadn't to courtsey or bow before me in return while someone of lower rank than me have to courtsey or bow before me and I don't have to courtsey in return ... it's ladies who courtsey, gentlemen bow, ladies can bow for someone who isn't of higher rank than them or if it's a friend of them, but gentlemen don't courtsey, ladies only ... and it's all what I can think to !
She smile when Mary tell her more about her future husband, he seem to be a good person.
Then you must be happy to marry him ! and you are so kind yourself that you will surely get well wiht him if he is very kind too ! Anyway, about tittle, I think that a duke, it's good for a princess !

Olympe look up at Mary with her clear eyes wide opened, listening attentively, surprised by her opinions about tittles that seem very different to her from what most of people tell at court, then she nodd slowly and answer her simply.
Allright, maybe it isn't that much important.
She shrugg, then smile proudly as Mary compliment her about her knowleges of court's rules and confirm her that she is a true lady now.
It's maman who have learn me about the court rules, so I can behave properly, like a true lady when I am at court.

She pronounce the word baby with a tone that show well that she don't want to ever be considered to be so. Olympe reflect and answer her, her eyes shining as she imagine the beautiful dress.
I do prefer purple to green, but I think that both of these colours would be pretty with white. I think that silver or gold would be very beauitful too on a white dress, I yet seen a beautiful lady at court wearing a dress with many silver embroideries and grey pearls, it was very very beautiful, she did look like a angel.
After her words about jewelry, she precise her idea to her, unsure to has been understand.
I did mean some jewelries embroided on the dress, like in thoses of the most elegant ladies of the court. Of course, you will also have to wear some around neck, on the head and all ... like all lthe ladies, you will think about it after having find the dress.
She pout slighty at the idea of Mary wearing being simple for her marriage, even if she understand it seen her friend's great modesty and tell her, expressing openly her own yet great coquetry.
I understand that you want be still simple ... but I admit that I would like to see you wear a somptuous dress for this special day ...
She smile and add, nicely, with all her childish sincerity.
