| My heart sinks knowing that my brother knows of this injustice but has yet to do anything to stop it. I mean after all he has just sacked Rome and imprisoned the pope to get his own way but he will do nothing to support our Mother's favorite sister. I hold back my sadness and tears and look into the Duke of Suffolk's eyes " This is so tragic, My Lord. Does the king have a reason for why he will replace my aunt as Queen? What is to happen to my aunt if she is replaced as Queen? Will she return home to Spain? " | |

| "Charles noticed her sadness. He would like holding her hand but he refrained himself from doing that"
I don't know...but the main reason, Your Highness, is that the Queen can't give him a male heir anymore. He needs a son. And...he hopes that lady Anne Boleyn can give him what he wishes since years...

| I cannot help but to feel sad and and angery how could anyone treat my loving and virtious aunt that way. I feel tear fall from my eyes and quickly wipe them away. I look away from his Grace and say " I am most sorry , Your Grace" . | |

| "Charles noticed how sad she was and sat closer. He leaned his hand on her trying to smile"
You can do nothing to change this, my lady. Anyone can. The King won't come back on his steps. But you...don't waste your beautiful face with tears, please. They hide your eyes's color...
"He added, drying softly her tears with his other hand"

| "Charles shook his head"
No...not yet. But he threatened to excommunicate the King, if he won't come back to his legitimate wife. Tell me...have you talked with your uncle since your arrival at court?
"He asked kindly"

| Mary felt lost, she had not seen or heard from Francis in months but thankfully she had not fallen with child. She knew she would have never been able to explain that without being sent to a nunnery for the rest of her life. Missing him had made her numb to all that happened, she no longer knew what was happening with her cousin Anne and the King. She had ignored any news of the rest of her family as well and just now she was tired of being alone in her room.
She found her way out to the garden and sat on a bench in the sun with her eyes closed, somehow she had to find a way to forget him and move on. At least no one knew about them so she would not have questions to answer about him. Hearing a noise she opened her eyes to see a gentleman walking towards her. She gave him a shy smile.

| Life at court had grown quite boring for me over the previous months. Most of the courtiers kept to themselves, scared to reach out or seek any company from others that weren't in their grouping. I hadn't much family left any more apart from one sister and I was still awaiting for my family land to be handed back to me. On this particular day I ventured out for some air not expecting to see anyone about. When not far from the corner of my eye a ladys blonde hairs blew about with the wind. I walked towards her smiling wondering if she could be off great company.
Afternoon my lady would you care for some company.
She looked rather young but she had these eye's that said differently about her. I liked this and it was her eyes that made me want to stay and talk with her.

| As the man walked closer Mary studied his face, he was very handsome and very tall she thought as she stared up at him. Then he smiled at her, she could not help but smile back at him. I would like some company very much. Will you sit with me a while? She invited him and then laughed, And my name is Mary, Mary Howard. It is a pleasure to meet you.
Mary kept her eyes looking at his face, there was a hardness then but yet a softness to his smile that made her not want to look away. For the first time in a long time she felt excited to have someone else to talk to and she hoped that he would linger here with her for some time.

| As the wilting September sun - embarking upon its hazy descent into the Thames, and coating Whitehall palace brick exterior in a wash of red-golds. Clement sat on a bench well hidden and out of sight from courtiers. | |

| It was a sunny yet cold day as Dorothy strolled in the Garden. As she was on her merry way, she saw a figure that was seemed out of sight. "I did not see you and you have frightened me, my lord." Says Dorothy | |

| The breaking of twigs underfoot alerted him that he was not alone in the woods. Stepping into view he was delighted to see the sweet lady that was Dorothy. “We meet again young Dorothy” Clements thick English accent filled the peaceful woods | |
