Bench under tree

"I think Edward is consumed with her and that is the problem-I do not know if anyone can return the love that he gives..."

I sigh and noticed Nan looked like she was in deep thought,"What are you thinking of?"

"You did?"I ask and raise my eyebrows,"Time shall only tell. I just...I just worry of him but I know he is a man now and he will be fine."

I shrug my shoulders a little and smile a little.

I glanced to the darkening landscape,"Well, Your Grace-I think I shall return to the castle, the night draws fast on..."

I then add,"I have really enjoyed your company-thank you."

I smile warmly and as we approach the door of the castle I sweep a curtsey,"Your Gr,"I stop and say with a grin,"Nan."

I then disappear into the castle...

It was a beautiful day with brilliant sunshine with brilliant sunshine and a sky intensely blue. It was such a beautiful day for a walk.As I walk I notice a bench under a tree and I decided to sit down and rest a little.

I see Elizabeth sitting alone and grasp the opportunity to talk to her in private.
'Elizabeth!' I smile and take a seat next to her. I had always found her company pleasant and thought she deserved to hear what I had to say.

I smiled politely to Anne when she sat next to me.

''Lady Anne,what a pleasant surprise to see you here! How are you?''

I asked kindly,looking at her.

'Well' I started glancing around, 'Im a bit fed up. Being a lady to Queen Katherine is depressingly boring... it is clear that the King will make the Boleyn whore queen so we may as well serve her instead?' I paused, curious to see what her response would be.

I looked at her shocked and confused.

''Lady Anne!Queen Katherine is a very kind woman and a good mistress and you should be grateful that you serve her and not Boleyn girl.''

'Yes but being kind does not get you anywhere at court! I say we play the same game the boleyns are!' Her fear of taking risks irritated me!

I shook my head.

''As long is Queen Katherine is here I will serve her and you should do the same.After all she is still the Queen.Is she not?''

I looked frankly into her eyes, 'She has not given the king a son, God has not blessed them with a son because she slept with the king's brother. The king will find a way to get rid of her, I do not want to be collateral damage.'

I sighed deeply,looking around.

''Yes she didn't gave him a living son but she gave him a daughter.I can not believe that you believe in that when you know it's not true that she slept with the king's brother.The king may find a way to get rid of her but until he does I will serve her''

'Well I serve the king before I serve anyone else. So do your brothers, if you stay with catherine you bring the whole family down with you!' This really was not the time for loyalty and honourable actions which get you nowhere.

I looked at her again.

''Of cours I serve the king as well like my brothers.And as you know my family is enemy for years with Boleyn family and my brothers and my father would not be to much happy if I serve Lady Anne.Anyway for me Queen Katherine will always be a true Queen no meter what happen she will always be my Queen.''

I said honestly to her.

'We have no choice!' I almost shouted at her. 'Do you think anyone actually likes the boleyns? They think only of their own self-interest. You need to think of your family not the Queen's misfortune.' If this does not make her think I sincerely doubt I could ever get through to her.

I was losing patience but I tried to answer politely as best I could.

''I don't care what others think of them and we always have a choice...Of course I think of my family and if they want me to serve Lady Anne I will.But until that happens I will stay with Queen.''

'Remember I will be your family soon.' Edward needs my guidance and advise and clearly this one does too. 'Do not tell anyone your opinion, it could end up coming back to haunt the whole family once Anne Boleyn is the Queen.' I left her to muse.

I nodded to her and sighed deeply.

''Yes you will soon be a part of this family.Of course I will not speak to anyone about this,I will never do anything to harm my family''

I said,looking around garden,thinking about everything she said.What if she was right about this?I quickly shook my head at that thought.Then I get up and walked towards the palace.

as i sit on the bench under the tree feeling the wind blowing about me and the changes that are coming, feeling alone as Anne and George are with people and are doing well, perhaps i will find someone and be happy as they are
