Mionetta smiled, dipping into a quick curtsey as she moved the sides of her skirts. "It would be an honor, majesty."

She stopped a moment when she heard his last sentence, and she quickly looked up to see where he looked. She sighed, looking down at the ground as she straightened up, and for a moment she wondered what else the King of Bavaria had told the king...

She gave a nervous nod, "of course, majesty...perhaps even for your future royal family," she stared hard.

Henry smiled and gestured her to come closer

Come closer, my lady. King Richard told me you're a very rare beauty. I just want to see it by myself. Oh...don't misanderstand my words, lady Mionetta. I have no intention to attempt at your virtue. I just want...staring at your beautiful face..

He said, gesturing her to come closer to window to see her in daylight

Mionetta raised her chin, placing her hands together behind her back as she took a step forward. "I know, majesty...it is just, I am hesitant when it comes to men," she gave a nod, smiling slightly. "Your majesty only says that," she blushed, tucking a curl behind her ear.

She stepped forward, timidly, moving slowly as she positioned herself closer to the light from the window, and her eyes flashed upward, letting the rays of the sun brighten them. She looked up to the king as she took a deep breath, her hands still behind her back.

You have no reason for being shy, my lady. Shuch beauty should never be hidded. Like your voice, of course. I wish you to feel comfortable. Very soon I'll introduce to you my new Queen. I want the whole court knows about your talent...

He said smiling, without removing his eyes from her

"Your majesty is too kind," Netta breathed, her cheeks turning pink with a blush. Her eyes widened and she smiled, shaking her head, "I am so very grateful to your majesty...I pray I do not let you down," she gave a laugh.

I'm sure of it. Talk me about yourself. Where is your family? I guess you miss Bavaria very much...

He added kindly to make her feel comfortable

Netta smiled, beginning to tug at the skirts of her gown. "I am from Venice, majesty," she smiled. "There is only my mother and six other brothers and sisters," she looked down at her fingers, "and I began singing in the girl's choir at the school for girls run by a nunnery."

Her eyes moved out the window, "I do miss Bavaria...it was a very beautiful place to be, and it made me miss Venice even more," she laughed.

"And your kingdom is so surrounded by water," she laughed, "so it feels like home, in a way." Her yes moved back to the king as she smiled, tilting her head, "Ever since I began my singing career, I knew I needed to come to England," she confessed, "so many people come to your palace, and quickly they are famous throughout all of Christiandom," she smiled.

Henry listened her carefully and smiled. He rubbed softly his chin

Uhm...from your description, it must be a very beautiful place, indeed. You could also be a good writer. And tell me: are you married?

He asked curiously

Netta smiled "It is...yet I have found England to be beautiful aswell."

She looked down, blushing slightly. "No," she shook her head, "my mama thinks I am perhaps still too young to marry, though she thinks..." she stopped, slightly embarassed. "Though she thinks that I shall perhaps be proposed to by a wealthy man," she laughed to herself, thinking it would never happen.

Yes, I understand. Your mother wants surely to protect you. I'm protective with my own daughter too. But you have a whole life in front of you, my lady. Oh..I almost forgot. I ordered to prepare a chamber for you here at Whithall. Hope you'll like it..

He said kindly, still loking at her face

Mionetta nodded, smiling, "Yes, I know your majesty...and anyway, I fear I have not had many offers."

She tilted her head, smiling warmly. "Ohh your majesty must have beat away her suitors often," she laughed. "And has your majesty seen Venice or even Italy?" she smiled, "I think you should love the many arts you would find."

Her eyes widened and she gave a laugh, placing a hand over her heart. "Your majesty certainly is too kind!" she beamed, "thank you."

No..I haven't seen Venice yet, but I'd like to see it. Who knows...maybe you can guide me. In the meanwhile, I wish you a nice journey at my court. A servant will escort you until your chamber. My lady...

He smiled and bowed with his head

Mionetta gave a laugh, nodding, "It would be an honor, majesty."

Netta tilted her head as she dipped into a low curtsey, "I thank your majesty for your time," she beamed, looking up at him. "Your majesty is very kind," she nodded. She turned on her heels and glided to the doors of the room, following the servant out.

Viola stood outside the entrance, her breathing heavy. Her nerves were getting the better of her. Pacing the room, she flattens her gown and twirls her hair; she had to look perfect. Viola readied herself. She had never met the King, but she had been told stories and heard rumours of him. The teenage duchess breathed in. Attempting to calm herself. Although she was merely 18 years old, she was from a great family and of royal blood... but this was the King. She whispers to herself "Please God, let this go well"
Steward announces her:
"Her Grace, the Duchess of Lancaster requests an audience with your Majesty"

Henry was sitting on his throne. He looked at the door once the servant announced the Duchess of Lancaster. Really curious to see her, he nodded

The steward bows and opens the doors. Viola breaths in deeply...one last try to calm her nerves, and enters the chamber.
She sweeps into a curtsy elegantly; lowering her head and looking down.
"Your Majesty"
Viola rose but kept her eyes downcast as she spoke;
"I am honoured that you granted me an audience and it is my deepest pleasure to meet your Majesty"

He asked looking attentively at her

With quick steps he entered the reception area, with Cranmer close behind. He bowed mercifully to the king.

Your Majesty, I introduce Thomas Cranmer, I have often spoke of him. In fact, it was this same Mr. Cranmer who said your Majesty's "great matter" was theological, not a legal issue.
