Royal Maze Garden

I nodded softly,looking around at beautiful maze.

''Oh! May I ask you how her majesty is? I didn't saw her for awhile and I am very worried about her...''

I asked and looked back at her.

Jane took a gulp and decided to be honest 'My lady...excuse me for being so bold..but i worry about her majesties health..she is under so much stress' she said.

I looked at her in surprise,no one told me that she is not feeling well.

''No please be honest ...What is wrong with her health? Did physician came to see her?''

I asked worriedly.

She shook her head lightly and sighed 'I am just saying, that she is very stressed and she pales so very much' she said with a sad smile.

I nodded softly.

''How she would not be stressed with everything that is going on''

I said sadly,then looked at her and asked.

''May I know your name,my lady''

Jane nodded in agreement and she looked at Mary 'My name is..Jane..Jane Bassett, your highness' she said with a smile.

I smiled kindly.

''I'm very pleased to meet you,Lady Jane...But your last name sounds very familiar to me.Do you have sister maybe around here or cousin?''

I asked curiously,trying to remember where I heard her last name before.

Jane shook her head and smiled 'My mother...was a mistress to your father...your highness' she said and she lowered her head.

I looked at her little shocked.Then shook my head softly.

''Oh! And where she is now?''

I knew that my father had mistress so that is not a very big surprise.

Jane swallowed a little 'She died in France, my lady' she said and she looked up with a small smile.

I looked her,smiling sadly.

''Oh I am very sorry to hear that...I know very little about your mother but I heard that she was very beautiful women''

Jane smiled and nodded but she looked at Mary 'Im sorry for asking..but there has been rumors going about court...How is your Sister, Margaret?' she asked.

I nodded sadly,looking away.

''She is better so she says,but I am not sure''

I frowned and replied sadly.

Jane smiled a little 'With God's help, she will improve, my lady' she said with a kind smile.

I looked around the maze and nodded in agreement.

''Yes with God's help she will be better''

I sighed deeply and asked her kindly,trying to change a topic.

''So tell me more about yourself,lady Jane?''

Jane looked at the woman and nodded 'I...am....well..what would you like to know?' she asked.

I smiled kindly to her and said.

''Anything that you wish to tell me,lady Jane''

Jane raised her eyebrow and nodded with a smile 'Well...im an only child...i came from France....' she said trying to think of more.

I looked her a little surprised.

''Oh you are from France! Do you miss France now when you are here?''

Jane shook her head 'I did not like France my lady, all men did was flirt and try and seduce you' she said.

I laughed softly and said

''Here is not so much different...I suppose your father is still there''

Jane shook her head lightly 'Nay he is not, he died when i was fourteen' she said with a small smile.

''Oh forgive me I didn't know...So you are now on your own?''

I said,looking at her gently

Jane nodded and smiled 'Indeed i am, your lady' she said with a sigh then she kept her head high with a polite smile.

I smiled to her gently as I said.

''Now I am here,so if you ever need anything you just need to ask me''

After all her mother was my fathers mistress,she could be even my sister.
