Corridor

as i leave my room and walk down the corridor i can hear the music play from the great hall. it sounds like the christmas party is in full swing and i can hear the singing and dancing  and people laughing have a wonderful time.

the corridors are decorated in reds, greens, and gold, and the candlelight gives off a beautiful glow and the scent of evergreen and the casablanca white lillies fills the air

i am approaching the corridor to the great hall as i turn the corner i can hear the music getting louder and scents of the pine and evergreen are for fragrant everything is so lovely i have reached the doorway to the great hall i wait to be announced to his majesty and his grace mr brandon.

"Charles left the Great Hall for a while. He needed some fresh air. So he was walking along corridor towards gardens. Many thoughts were crossing his mind"

Escorted by my Navarrese Ladies, I glide along the corridor. Lifting my head regally as I walk, Charles comes into sight and all the ice from my look fades!
"Charles!"

"Charles was still lost in his thoughts. When he saw Katherine, he smiled wide"

Katherine...oh my God! I didn't know you were come back to court! I find you...beautiful. How are you?

"He asked hugging her, noticing she had no longer her big belly"

"I'm well Charles! How are you?" Hugging him back, I feel my tension melt and myself soothed by his presence! "You have no idea how much I have needed to see you!" Smiling warmly "How much I have needed your friendship!"

"Charles smiled caressing her cheek"

Are you alright, darling? I see you gave birth...so tell me: boy or girl?

"He asked excitedly, but a bit worried for her sad expression"

Smiling warmly "A girl...We named her Elizabeth after my mother." Looking up at him, I sigh. "Francis has been missing since her birth...I don't know what to do!" Looking away, I force myself not to cry.

"Charles sighed and kissed her forehead"

I'm sorry...Maybe he is busy. Remember that he is a King. Where is your husband, now?

"He asked tenderly"

Looking down and whispering softly, so that my ladies don't hear and cause a panic "We do not know, darling...there have been reports he is in Navarre, others saying he is in Spain..." Finally, my eyes meet his "I was told to come home until he is found and is securely on his throne."
I grasp his hand and my eyes fill with dread. "What if something awful has happened? I'll a widow and my daughter a Queen from the crib."

"Charles sighed again. He leaned her head on his shoulder slowly"

Oh no...no. I'm sure nothing bad has happened, my darling. Is your daughter with you?"

"He asked"

I nod slowly. "I brought her with me...and a Nursemaid I hired in France."

"Charles leaned his hands on her shoulders"

Don't worry, Kate. I'm sure that a very good reason keeps your husband away from you. You're not alone, here. You have me...

"He added whispering"

"Thank you" I smile faintly, feeling some relief to be home. "How is her Grace? I still wish to meet her you know..."

"Charles smiled her back"

She is alright. As you know...she is with child. Also, she is arranging a family dinner for the new year. I'd love you to join us, Kate. I can't wait to see your little Elizabeth...

"He caressed her cheek"

I shall meet with Lady Jane Seymour at 3 on the clock on the morrow for tea. It looks like it will rain on the morrow and the corridor will provide coverage. Should the King appear as well, i have asked the cook to have refreshments ready.

I must have thee court baker save all the crumbs, for i shall need them to find my way around the Palace until am well acquainted. Birds will not be welcomed inside.

The servants will be about on the morrow early to make sure the corridor is swept clear of leaves and table with chairs rest upon the floor. Mayhaps some flowers as well, for she doth in need of some time to talk and feel better.

Lady Margaret walks around the Palace at Whitehall, in thought. She has had to chastise a servant for not doing duties in unpacking her things, as well as caught the servant with one of her gowns upon her person, preening in the looking glass of her bedchamber.

Nay nay! She said.. Thee will not have salt with thy dinner this even. or on the morrow either.

Lady Margaret is missing her friend, William Shakespeare as he has had to be about Strathmore in lieu of the birth of the twins. She looks forward to his next sonnet to her.

It be time to sup and mayhaps some music in the hall this even'. The poet Sir Wyatt is a charming lad, and where be 'bout Lord Dudley and his fish pies?

Still becoming familiar with the castle, Amelia was making her way back to her chambers when must of taken the wrong corridor. She saw a handsome gentleman coming to pass when she hesitated to ask him and chewed her lip "Pardon me my lord, but can you point me in the direction of the Great Hall?" she asked so she wouldn't sound silly for losing her way.

Henry was returning to his chamber after spending a little while on the balcony, cup of ale in his hand. In the distance he noticed a charming young girl look rather lost and so she proved to be when she asked him where to go.

He smiled warmly and stood beside her, pointing ahead,"Go straight ahead, up the stairs and you shall hear the noise - cannot miss it."

The man was charming and handsome, Amelia could not walk away without knowing his name. She stopped walking and turned back. "Excuse me but, I don't think I can find it on my own. Do you think you could assist me?" She asked hoping he would agree.

Henry chuckled and offered his arm,"But of course."

Amelia took his strong arm and blushed, although she bent her head down to pick up her dress so he wouldn't see her face. "By the way, I'm Amelia Atwell, Duchess of Chester." She said to kill the silence.

He smiled kindly and looked forward,"I'm Henry Throckmorton - Duke of Gloucester."

He looked at her face and smiled to himself, she was very beautiful,"So have you lived at court long?"

Amelia smiled when he said he was a Duke. "It's a pleasure to meet you Henry" she said in a soft voice and squeezed his arm. "I've only been at court a few weeks, so i'm still learning my way around"

"Me too,"he replied warmly,"I confess to nearly walking into someone else's bedchamber on more than one occasion."
