Courtyard

I finally arrived to Whitehall Palace,I never came here before today. I came down from the carriage and looked around me,the place was breathtaking.. So big, so magnificent...I sighed deeply than slowly started to walk towards palace.

as i arrived at the new palace which will be our summer home

I feel a soft nudge, as James wakes me.... We are received greatly and taken to our bedchambers ..he sends words to the King that we have arrived...

I grin at her as we enter our bedchambers, winking at her. I look around at my cousin's interesting decorating tastes. I take her hand then kiss it as I look at her.

My love...Would you like to rest a while? The travel must have been hard on you and our son. Do you meed for anything?

I snap my fingers for servants to come forth in case my wife needs anything. I can't help but notice how beautiful women in England are.

Geoffrey came into courtyard as the carriage arrived. He was ordered to receive the royal scotsh couple and to lead them inside Palace. He walked towards them and bowed deeply

Your Majesties...welcome to England. Your cousin, King Henry, is happy having you both in his court. Please, follow me...

He said, lowering his eyes. Then he took one of their luggages and leaded them towards Castle's entrance

I arrived at Whitehall with much on my mind. The palace was beautiful I had heard of many stories of King Henry's court and I was eager to have a chat with him.

Jane walked out into the courtyard for a stroll she looked around and smiled to herself, she turned around and saw a man whom she did not recognize 'Mi'lord' she said and she curtsied.

As I looked around I saw a beautiful blonde woman. I bowed my head. "Good day my lady" I said as I hiked my bag on my back. "Can I bother you to ask you where I am to go in this large palace?" I asked.

Jane stood up and smiled 'I could show you, if you wish, your grace?' she asked with a smile.

"That would be wonderful, by the way i'm James, James Adler" I said as we walked toward the castle.

Jane looked at the man with a smile 'Im Jane...Jane Bassett' she said and she stood infront of the castle doors 'Welcome to whitehall' she said with a playful smile.

She had the most beautifulest smile I had ever seen. "It's nice to meet you lady Bassett" I said still looking at her. "Now, would you know where my chambers is?"

Jane nodded with a smile and took the man by his shoulder and walked him to his chambers.

Thomas's carriage arrived finally in the courtyard. He was coming back from France after the mission that Wolsey gave him. Happy to see his wife Alice again, he took his luggages and walked towards Palace's entrance, followed by his servants

The gentle click of my high heels was the only noise as I walked through the courtyard. The soft scent of freshly bloomed flowers and growing herbs were like a summer veil that brought a smile to my pink lips and my silk dress poured around me like a steady flowing river.

I had never been to Whitehall before. So when I arrived I was told there would be dinner in the great hall, although, somehow I found myself turned around and couldn't find my way. I then saw a woman in the courtyard, I walked toward her in hope she would be able to help me.

"Excuse me my lady, do you think you could direct me in the way of the Great Hall?" I asked.

I glance up as I hear a deep voice resonate through the courtyard. With my hands clasped in front of my corset I turn round and find a handsome man before me. I smile kindly and bob a shallow curtsey,"My lord,"I whisper as I steal a look into his dark eyes.

"The great hall is just beyond the entrance over there,"I say softly as I point to the open door,"...you shall hear the music, you cannot miss it."

As she turns around I am blissfully overwhelmed by her beauty. My hunger subsided and almost immediately wanted to know this beautiful lady standing in front of me.

"Would you mind showing me? I feel so lost in huge palace." I said smiling warmly.

I glance down as I see how he looks at me-like I hold a secret he is desperate to know. I then look through my lashes and smile coyly,"I would take great pleasure in it, my lord...May I know your name?"

I am pleased when she agrees. "Oh yes of course, i'm James Adler. It's a pleasure to meet you" I said as we started to walk.

"I am Elizabeth Craven and I assume you are new to court?"I say with a smile as I glance through my lashes at him-noticing how tall he is and handsome. More than that his eyes draw me in closer-though dark they sparkle at night.

"Well I suppose you could say that. I'm a solider for his majesty's army." I said as I noticed her bright blue eyes and how the sun made her glow. I then realised that I didn't know her name. "May I ask your name, my lady?"

I laugh softly,"Elizabeth Craven-I am the Countess of Windsor. You may call me Bess if you wish..."I say with a grin as we walk slowly through the gardens.
