It was evident that his mind was made up and her worse fears were confirmed. It hurt her heart to see her own father talking as such but it was for the greater good.
'I have been prepared for this for several months papa. What ever you need to do you have my whole support and I love you.'
Now wasn't the time for tears Margaret had to become a grown up lady and look out for her family and her stepmother Alice too.

While my daughter sleeps, I had released my ladies and sent them off to flirt and flutter their way around Whitehall. I had chosen to walk in the gardens: taking in the fresh air and enjoying the freedom the gardens offered me. Slowly strolling through the manicured lawns and avenues of trees, I release a quiet sigh as I drown in my thoughts. My break in Scotland had offered me a welcome break from the endless rounds of court events but now back, I found myself longing to be lady of a castle, like my sister. But I also wanted more for my daughter, a princess who deserved to live as the royalty she was: not in a castle in the countryside. Releasing another sigh, I continue to walk through the gardens: pondering what to do... And what would be best for my daughter.

Margaret understood everything here father was telling her. She had in truth knew that he was going to say these very words. It had annoyed her seeing as Alice was so oblivious as to what was going on. She nodded before embracing her father.

Thomas looked at her in silence. He could feel her pain and this feeling made him feel bad. But he was also comforted that now Margaret knew everything about their fate. He took a breath and kissed softly her forehead
