After a long walk alone in the forest, smiling, her mind full of dreams, passinf near to a collaspsed tree, Anne smell a particular odour, a intense and intoxicaty odour of humidity, in spite of shadow of the trees, she sweat in her dress and feel irresistibly attracted by the promess of the some water. So she follow the odour, until a area opposite to the path from where she come from, walk a moment and see the shore on a beautiful pond among the forest. Amazed, she smile, feeling falling in love with this pond immediatly and walk closer to it, feeling irresistibly attracted by the water of the lake, she love to swim and even if it isn't the normal uses for a girl of her rank, her mother who is herself a good swimmer have learn her to swim in the lake near to a castle where they did spend summer. She hesitate, looking around but can't see anyone, nor even any animal and don't hear anything but some familiar little animals and birds noises, then feeling free to do what she want, like in another world, she sat on a big rock, take off her shoes and stocking delicately. She get up again, saize take the bottom of her dress and shift and lift them until the knees level and come closer to the water carefully, fearing that it's would be very cold, she soak the tip of toes, she smile as she discover the water much more warm than she expected, rather tepid, so she walk a bit in the water, until ankles level, feeling the ienvy to swim. She join the shore again, undress ,hang them carefully to a big branch, for get sure that they will not fall, then she fastly return to the water and walk in it, until saize level, invigorated, then she advance more slowly, hesitate, then jump on the water, swimming clumsily at first, then more easely. She swim until the middle of the lake, singing a song happily, looking around with increasins amazement, dazzled by the simply pleasure of the feeling of freedom that this swimming in wild nature, far from court's etiquette and strict people bring to her. She lean on her back, tense her body and puff out her stomack, floating on her back, she look at the sky, recalling of all the undines and marmaid stories that her mother told to her when she was more little, trying to imagine that there is really a undine in this pond, smiling with delight, gazing to the azur blue sky, following the move of the fews little white clouds that there is in it while humming a rhyme.

After a while, tired of floating on her back, Anne change of position, lay down her stomack and start again to swim all around the pond, looking to the desert forest that surround her all around, feeling so light, freshened and free, she notice a scurral running on the floor, smiling, she follow its nervous movements, then see him climb to a trunk and disappear on the top of the tree.

Inge was riding her horse along forest. She stopped next to a lake and she noticed something in the water. She dismounted from her horse to see better, and she recognized Anne swimming. Surprised. she called her loudly
"Anne! Anne!"

Anne, swimming at the middle of the lake silently while listening forest animals's slight noises curiously and contempling landscape, lost in her own universe, feeling far of the rest of the world, jolt in hearing a feminine voice, realizing that she isn't alone anymore, in this area of the forest that she trusted to be the only one to have find. Slighty feared, she look around for see whom is here, she exclaim, while immobilizating on place, her legs and arms moving slighty. What ? who is it ? Then, looking at the shore more attentively, she see Inge on her horse, reassured that it isn't some unknow person who could annoy her, she smile, don't feeling any regret nor shame at all for this moment of freedom and innocent pleasure that she is talking in swimming in full freedom in the wonderfull fresh and pure water of the pond.

Inge laughed, noticing that Anne was having fun in the water. She loved swimming too and thought to reach her friend in the fresh water
"Anne...wait! I'm coming..."
She shouted. So she removed her tiara from her head and unlaced her dress. She let it fall on the grass slowly. She was wearing only her petticoat, now. Half naked, she entered slowly in the water, smiling sweetly at her

She laugh happily, showing an unusal joy, her eyes shining as Inge undress and enter in the water, swiming more near to her.

Anne lay down her back in the clear water while observing her swimming toward them, then as she tell that she will reach her, she shriek in laughter and excitment, as she see her throwing herself in the water, don't seeing her anymore and imagining her reaching her soon, she turn back swifly with souppleness and swim in the opposite shore's direction and exclaim in a mischievous and teasing tone.
No ! you can't reach me ! I am swimming faster than you !
She giggle and swim fastly, feeling at the same time the envy to win her in fastness and the excitment at the idea of the feeling to be reached by her and the serious, dreamy, lascive and a bit gawky girl that she appear to be usually have disappear in the water, as a façade water-soluble that let appear a lively, playful, mischievous and funny girl who swim with as much ease and grace as a marmaid, as if the water was her true element.

She look at Inge as she join the land and rest there, she turn back and swim in the opposite direction, smiling impishly, then she throw herself under the water and swim in Inge's direction while remaining invisible from the surface of the water. As she get closer, she percieve Inge's body and get closer of her feets, tickle them playfull, then she swiftly turn back and swim in the opposite direction, until reaching the middle of the pond and let her body go up until her head and shoulders get above the surface, a bit short of breath and she turn to Inge, trying to refrain a irresistible envy to laugh.

Me too ! I do adore to swim and hadn't been able to do it since a so long time ! and this place is just so wonderful.
She lay down her bad in the water, floating and tell her with a mischievous smile, on a neutral tone.
But be carefuly, there is a monster who live in this pond.

Yes, some people told me a legend about a monster in a pond of the forest, I thought it was just a tale, but I have percieve something that did seem very big under the water.

Anne, seeing Inge talking all seriously the legend that she tell to her and even leave the water, have to bite her lip for prevent from laughing, she walk to the shore closer to her and tell her.
But don't worry, I heard that in fact, it isn't really a nasty creature, it's supposed to content on tickling the foots of the people who swim in its lake with its fins !

Anne can't refrain her envy to laugh anymore and join Inge's laugh chearfully, a glint of mischief in her eyes and tell her on a teasing tone.
Yes I am kidding you ! I am surprised that you hadn't realize it earlier ! it's so easy to goose chase you, so I can't resist !
Anne hesitate, she would like to return to palace in Inge's compagny, but if she do so, she will be soaked under her heavy dress, then she shake her head and tell her.
I prefer to remain a little moment on the shore and let sunshine dry my body before to leave, anyway, I have come in walking and hadn't a horse to ride by your side ... but you can go before me if you want, I will not be long anyway.
She swim until the shore and walk out of the water, looking at Inge.

Look around us, we are in the woods, very deep in the woods, in a totally wild place, there isn't even any path, so there is no risk that someone else than us come around there before a long time, so relax down.
As she evocate her brother's reaction, Anne burst in laughs.
My brother ?! if he ever came there and see us, I would grab him and make him understand that he hadn't interest to tell anything to our parents ... I know that he is to be our father successor but for now he is just my little brother and he have better to obey me !
She grow serious and blush as she recall of what happened the last time she did take her bath and she whisper in a nearly imperceptible voice.
Anyway, I don't think he would be shocked by this view ...
